What is your boxer afraid of? If anything...

We had some thunder this morning and that bothered Barkley a little bit. He seemed more aggravated than scared though. He was barking back at it. LOL

Ginger is afraid of:

- tennis racket
- trucks on the road or bus
- hats
- birthday balloons
- sprinklers
- treadmill

That's about all I can think about right now!

Cami

Boxer Insane
Cami is afraid of thunder. She doesn't like driving in the car when it is raining and the wipers come on.
She is also afraid of my new Dyson vacuum cleaner. It sometimes makes a horrific noise. She will not come in the house if I am using it or will want outside if she sees it come out. She would attack my old one.....very weird since it sounded like an airplane taking off in comparison to the Dyson.
She gets nervous when the motorhome first starts and we take off in it, then calms down. In her defense it does creak alot and make some weird noises.
Anytime she acts odd aroudn something new I just make a game of it and tell her to "get it"....then praise her when she starts going towards it and showing less fear. Aside from what I've already mentioned she does really well when "scary" things present themselves. I guess she figures she can out run pretty much everything if she had to!

Emma is claustrophobic. Can not stand tight, enclosed spaces or the feeling of being pinned in. She hates the bathtub, can't stand it when BF gives her an all encompassing hug, and won't set foot in her dog house. We think that it stems from her being put into a drop-off locker at the animal shelter when the previous owner dropped her off. That is all we can think of. So we just don't put her in that situation.

Right now Abbie is especially afraid of garbage:rolleyes: When we walk on garbage day she will stop and bark at every bag sitting on the road side. Brady isn't afaid of anything that I can think of right now. Tossie was afraid of thunder and guns, if she would see someone pick up a gun she would be gone.

Sweet Ginny

Super Boxer
Ginny PRETENDS to be afraid of things--it is a huge game to her! Her favorite game is when we make noise with something (a box of rice or macaroni) she runs like crazy, then comes back and tries to sneak up on it . . . then we shake the box again . . . this game can go on forever!

Buddy barks at stuff but I think it's more for protectiveness than him being scared of it. (vacuum, brooms, hair dryer) He's scared of my bike helmet. When I tried it on, I didn't realize that he's never seen me with anything other than a baseball cap on my head. Well, he went nuts whining and crying so I tried calling him in my playful voice and he ran from me. I even lifted the bug shield so he could see my eyes and it still didn't work. When I took it off, he was a wiggle-butt again.

Beau's Mommy

Boxer Insane
Beau's afraid of our back-door neighbor  Have no idea why, he just doesn't like her I guess. When he sees her out he runs up onto our patio and stands there and barks at her.

Foreman is scared of Tin Foil I think its the sound it makes, he is also scared of thunder he wasn't when he was a pup but we didn't have any for 6 months due to winter and now he is scared of it.

GunnyKS

Boxer Booster
My wife was swatting flies with a newspaper the other day, and Gunny seemed scared. As he was adopted, we wondered if maybe someone used to hit him with a magazine or paper. That's all we have found. Zac seems pretty fearless thus far.
