What is your boxer afraid of? If anything...

Ty is petrified of diesel trucks, if they are running. The irony there is that DH is a truck driver. Peyton's only fear is not being allowed back in the house at night when it's crummy outside. We had a few nights of bad weather and she couldn't potty fast enough and dragged me back to the house. She is fine with bad weather during the day, so DH and I think she was forced to stay outside at night (she did have frostbite on her ears when we got her).

I thought of this thread last night after I scraed the begeezus out of Chancey with a wet towel. She usually lays on the bed while I shower.Well, she was out like a light last night when I tossed the wet towel at her. Chancey jumped 2ft straight up from a curled sleeping position...I felt sooooooo bad.

Haley, Hannah and Demius are fearless. Nothing scares them. On the other hand, Hayden, weighing in at eighty pounds, is scared to death of thunder. He is our rescue and was an outside dog in four homes before he came to live with us and I'm sure he has been through many thunder storms. He shivers and sticks to me like glue when he smells rain coming. :)

Hobart Ave.

Nestle isn't afraid of anything. She's a very calm and collected girl and you can almost see her thinking through situations before she reacts. Hobart is another story. He's afraid of little kids, loud noises (although thunder doesn't faze him), and balloons. Pretty much anything that seems out of place to him will get a reaction. The family that brought him to the shelter had a bunch of little kids with them and they were pulling his ears and tail right in the shelter lobby! I think he's mostly afraid of their fast movements because if kids are running he runs away and barks but if they sit or stand calmly he has no problem with them.

Zoey is afraid of a door downstairs in our building. I think it's because it makes an odd sound when it closes. She will wrap the leash around me and knock me off my feet when she tries to get through it! She's fine with every other door, just that one scares her!

Rock is afraid of trash bags, all sizes and colors. Sammy is afraid of absolutly nothing. Duke is afraid of anything unfamiliar, after he musters up the courage to check things out he is okay.

My Keeya

Boxer Booster
I don't think Keeya is afraid of anything. She does however feel compelled to attack the vaccum and the broom. She barks like crazy, then attacks them when I bring them out. It's pretty funny unless I'm in a hurry to get some cleaning done. Most of the time I have to put her outside till I'm done.

For some strange reason Boots is deathly afraid of trash bags. At home he is ok and wont react, but when we're on our walks any trash bags on the side of the street, he will freeze up and wont move, or try and pull to run away, tail (nub) tucked between his legs. I cant even ignore it and keep walking, because he is pulling in the opposite direction for dear life. Poor boy. guess time and age will help him grow out of it.

LC is afraid of thunder or very loud noises(jets flying over, gun shot, ect...) and the linolium in my kitchen. Its very funny, she will get her toes right up to where the carpet ends and stay there. If her toy goes on the floor or if i offer her a bone, she sort of tip toes nervously across to get what she wants and hauls butt back to the carpet.
