The temptation would be too great, I'd have to walk down that street too:p and I like Andrea's idea of practicing sit-stays! I'm so glad we have a greenway to walk just like 10 minutes from my house. I just load Buddy up, and go there! We have to many people who drive like me around here to walk on the road:LOL:

I would say keep walking, but if that lady is that grumpy, who knows what she would do to that poor dog if he deeps barking.

I think I would go other ways the majority of the time but just to be spiteful I would have to take that route every once in a while.:p

For some reason, I've noticed when people get older, they get kind of weird about stuff like that. They don't want any intrusions in what they perceive to be their own little world. My mother has her own gripes about why do people have do certain things that bother her - mostly nothing, just stuff that occurs in the daily cycle of liviing. I kind of made a mental note to try not to get that way when I'm older. To never forget what it's like to be young and avoid those "senior citizen" characteristics. Of course, not all older people are like that, for sure, but there are plenty that are!

The street belongs to everyone. As long he he's well behaved, on his leash and you carry your poop bags, walk your dog wherever you like and be proud you have such a noble, loving dog to share your life. When we walk, all the other dogs start up with their yapping, but Scrapper gives not a peep. He just struts along like he knows "Yeah, I'm the bomb!"

I think you should walk your dog by her house even more just for kicks!! or tell her you'll stop walking your dog by her house when she shuts her dog up.

I guess some people think they own the sidewalk.

Don't worry about her she's probably just grouchy cause she doesn't have a boxer like ours.

Completely Boxer Crazy
My dogs go nuts at a particular Dobie that always is exercised out the front of our house. Because of the vacant land, the owner lets him off the leash for about 10 mins morning and night to just RUN. I think in Jasper's case - it's jealousy. He wants to play. We tend to bring the dogs inside when he's out just to keep the neighbourhood quieter.

But then we sometimes go outside to watch the dobie run - he's so beautiful.
