Oh I feel so bad for all of you who had so many ailments!! Poor you and your babies :( I can just imagine how awful it feels to have your baby go through so much.
We have been lucky so far and Boz has only had ringworm, and the flu for 24 hours.

Scarlet:

* Vaginitus 2x (before being spayed @ 7mos)
* Eye Infection (like pink eye - cream cleared it up)
* Benign Tumor on top of head (removed)
* Upset Tummy for 2 straight days (vomiting)
* Pea Size cyst? on side of neck (vet not worried but keeping eye on it-this just showed up within the last 2 weeks)
* We also rushed her to the emergency vet one night at midnight because she was reverse sneezing. I didnt know about reverse sneezing and thought she was choaking. (A very expensive sneeze)

Well let's see, this is what he's had so far and I hope this is the worst:

-Ringworm
-vomiting (at 7 mos; finally decided to switch foods and he got better).
-allergic reaction to bee sting (swollen jaw and hives).
-allergic to something (gets hives often)
-mosquito bites
-stepped on something and injured toenail (limped for a week and wouldn't let me look at it, let alone touch it!).
-had tapeworms once.
-found his first tick last month (yuck! we had to spray the yard).

That's about it. He's been pretty healthy so far and I hope it stays that way!

Chewy's mom...we have Pet insurance through VPI and I'm so glad I got it! About a month or two after we signed up, Legend sprained his leg. We had to go to an emergency vet clinic, since it was on a Sunday and they did X-rays and all that stuff...then they put a splint on it. It was well over $200, but we only had to pay a deductible of $50 and pet insurance covered the rest.

I DEFINITELY recommend it. Its only about $11 a month for each dog, and that includes "double cancer benefits"...because you know boxers are prone....

Oops, I forgot one of Minx's ailments -- spay incontenence, she has to get a pill daily for that.

Devin (5 years old):
6 months -- Ate a stuffed animal and stuffing swelled his stomach 5 times its normal size. Luckily, with much medication and gaterade....Devin's stomach acid broke down the animal and he did not need surgery.
1.5 years -- Ate a bee, got hives all over his face
2 years -- Growth on foot
2 years -- chin acne
2 years -- Bloody stool, brought on by stress (our apartment was being reconstructed... the roof work scared Devin).
3 years -- Ring worm (grrrr --- got from the dog walkers cat)
5 years -- crusty nose

Sophie (2.5 years old)
3 months -- the first of many many cronic yeast infections
6 months -- Ring Worm (grrrr -- same dirty dog walkers cat)
2 years -- itchy feet from allergies
on and off since a pup -- vaginitis

I ususally don't post about Tina being sick so maybe some of you will be surprised how much she had to go through :(

1. Slightly irregular heartbeat
2. Upset stomach - feeling sick and vomitting after her meals from time to time
3. Inflamed hip
4. Kennel cough
5. False pregnancies
6. Urine incontinence before spay - tests are fine, reason unknown
7. Post-spay urine incontinence
8. Numerous ear infections
9. Severe poisoning due to something eaten during a walk
10. Torn ear after a fight with another boxer female
11. Two ticks removed (by myself :) )

My sister's boxer is almost 2 and never had any health problem. Lucky girl.
However Tina is a very playful, active and happy boxer :)

Boxer Buddy
Kenzie has had generalized dem. mange. She now has localized dem. mange on her face and feet and in/aroundher ears. She gets reoccurent staph infections on her face feet and belly. Her skin is highly sensitive to most anything and and has been on numerous different diets and she get atarax( allergy pill 2-3x daily along with her staph meds) Mange in her ears requires her to recieve otobitic iontment in her ears when ever it flairs up. Her face is often swollen up due to the staph/ mange and requires careful observation due to her lack of immunity( which she also gets a pill for once 1x daily). Anytime she jumps in the lake , muc or gets into the weeds I must immediatly give her a medicated bath due to her sensitive skin. And last but not least she gets a mitaban dip 1 x weekly to get rid of her mange.

Besides these things we give her lots of xoxoxoxo and she is a very happy little girl!!!!!!
