What a tragedy! a little graphic

We were on our way home from a LATE dinner last night and we saw TONS of lights and heard sirens and they had the major street through our town blocked off. So we went through our neighborhood to see what was going on, and sure enough it was a horrible accident.

There was a pickup that had completely demolished a motorcycle. It was like one of those "ninja" type bikes, not a big one like a harley or goldwing. The front tire/wheel was thrown all the way across the 2 lane street.

There was quite a huge crowd gathered in the Village Inn parking lot to see what was going on, as this street is the main "cruising drag" for anyone in highschool.

We ended up waiting a block away in our car for almost an hour to see what they were going to do. Just as we were about to leave the coroners van showed up and they had to jack the truck up and pull a body out from under the truck (which we thought was part of the bike). I had NO IDEA that there was a body still at the scene. I thought for sure that anyone involved would have already been transported.

Nothing is in the news yet because it happened after 11pm last night. I'm curious to learn about any circumstances.

How awful!!! Nothing worse than seeing stuff like that. Reminder to always be safe and drive carefully... That poor soul is in my prayers.

Oh my! What a tragic accident. My thoughts are with this person's family during this difficult time.

wow, i'm sorry you had to see that.

mark had a motorcycle when we first met and one of my best friends lost her fiance to a motorcycle accident...needless to say, there is no motorcycle parked outside today (he sold it right after we began dating because of his own issues, but ya know, it benefited me and my nerves, too)!

that person's family will be in our prayers.

SO SAD...the 35 yr old man that was killed had a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Can you believe the driver of the truck took off on foot? so it's a hit-and-run! Unbelievable.
