Pets aren't allowed on the trails at Sharon Woods?! Jeeze that isn't very nice. Are there other parks around with trails that the dogs are allowed on? We are new to the area and don't know much of what is around.

Blendon Woods (park) does allow pets on certain trails. I can't tell you which one exactly but I did read that in an Ohio park magazine.

I know of two dog parks in the Dayton area. There is one in Xenia, and also Montgomery county has a nice one (they even have a small agility course). The website for the Montgomery county one is mcohio.org, then click on animal resource center. It should have directions. I'm not sure where the Xenia one is because I've only heard of it.

I'd love to bring cortes, but don't know if we'll be able to make it. I'm right in the middle of law school exams for the semester. We'll try to make it and hope to see you all there.

Just as a warning....plan on having to do a bath after the meet! The infield of the fields is pretty much MUD!! They will have SO much fun. I hope the weather holds up. Hope to see you all there!

It would probably be a good idea to bring some old towels and wipes to wipe the kids down before getting back in the car.
