Yes, I think he is rather large for his age according to the standard. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here
The standard for male boxers is approximately 66-70 lbs, and females approximately 55 - 60 lbs. My Jada is large for the standard. She's not quite two years old yet. She weighs slightly over 70 lbs. Your boy is still young and growing:D

I also think that is big for only 11 months. Libby is almost two and has just recently slowed in her growth. She is not quite 60 lbs., but she favors her mother who was small. Has your vet said anything about the size - is the dog overweight, what are you feeding, etc. I am lucky enough to have vets (married couple who also has boxers) that know all about boxers.

Lucas weighed 90 pounds at his recent vet visit and he is 14 months old. I was told he needed to drop 20 pounds. Of course, we are used to our older boxer who regulates his own feeding schdule. Lucas is a pig and eats anything. In other words, we were over feeding him.
So far he is slimming down alittle.
If you are concerned, perhaps on your annual check up ask your vet. They can tell you if he is okay for his size and if not, give you pointers to help him loose the weight.

The AKC standard does not have a weight limit but a height limitation. Boxers vary greatly in size. Amaya is 14 mo and weighs 50 lbs. Brutus is 20 mo and weights about 75 lbs.
Amaya is just within standard at 21 inches but Brutus is taller than standard at 27 inches.
I would check with your vet to make sure the weight is good for your boxer. He should have a clearly defined waist line and you should be able to feel the ribs when you pet him. If the vet says your dog is fine your in good shape.
Of my dogs I would say Amaya is almost a little heavy for her height and Brutus is a little skinny. It all depends on the individual boxer.

I took Dexx to the Vet last week and he told me that he is very healthy he is just a big Boxer. His mother is almost 70 pounds and his father is 95 so the vet told me that Dexx is right on track.
