Thank you all so much
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for sending all your wishes and prayers to me and my family. I first discovered boxerworld about 3 or 4 years ago and hadn't visited it recently. I remember seeing the Rainbow Bridge section but never visited it because I hadn't experienced any loss.
Now the time has come for me to visit this forum. Nikki would have been exited to meet all of you and she was a great animal like all of our remembered boxers and pets.
Nikki lived with my parents and I live a few hours away from my parents. Nikki passed away here where I live while my parents were visiting me for Thanksgiving and they brought her with them. She had waited until she saw me one last time. I know the next time I go home and don't see her by the living room window wagging her little tail when she sees my car pull up it will be weird. I guess life has to go on though and all I can do is remember her soft fur, sweet smell that only boxers have and her wonderful spirit and fun personality. Thank you so much for listening.

Completely Boxer Crazy
Nikki sounds like she was a wonderful girl. I know what you mean about not seeing her when you go visit your parents. I lost my first dog Shadow last year. He stayed behind with my parents when I moved to NC but he always remembered me when I would go home to visit. He lived 16 great years and was one of the smartest dogs I've ever known. It's hard, but time does move on and we are left with memories and happy times.

...it doesn'r matter how many times I read someones post about losing one, it still makes me cry:( I'm sorry, I lost my boy to cancer going on 3 months in a few days. It is sudden, they don't want you to know they are sick. She is healthy now and happy with her newest friends
