Butch is now tucked in your heart safe and warm and one day all those wonderful memories will out win the sadness you feel now and maybe when that day comes you will realize the best and last gift you can give Butch is to carry on with his wonderful breed.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you did your best for Butch...and he knew it too. I do hope you do not give up on the breed. Yes they are prone to certain illnesses, as are many other breeds. It is not etched in stone that all boxers will fall victim to a terminal illness. It is very hard to lose one of our beloved fur-babies...we all can relate to your pain. Keep your memories alive...and Butch will always be with you. :)
You are in my thoughts and prayers. God speed Butch. angelicon

Boxer Buddy
I am so sorry for your loss--I definitely know how you feel because I lost my beloved baby to cancer last month. I still call his name when I come home and say goodnight to him every night. I can only tell you that after awhile, when you are feeling lonely for him, the smiles will mix with the tears as you remember what a wonderful friend he was.
I also want another puppy but am hesitant to get another Boxer because of all the health risks. Hwever, when I mentioned this to Waldo's oncologist, she said something that made a lot of sense: despite the sadness and heartache that accompanies the illness of your Boxer, you also experienced the absolute BEST dog in the world. After all, there is no dog better than a Boxer! Thoughts, hugs and prayers to you and your family.
