on Saturday. If you remember my post, Butch was diagnoticed with a blood cancer in October after we discovered a hugh tumor that popped up literally overnight. We did 77 days of chemo and things were going good until late in February. My baby was so anemic he had a hard time walking and doing his business. I fed him while he layed in bed, but some days he was better and ate in the kitchen at his bowl. I called it the roller coast ride, one day good, one day bad. I am so sick with saddness I can't stand it, looking at where his bed should be, starting to call his name out of habit when I walk in the house, waiting to feel the touch of his head on my leg laying down in the bed. My family wants another one, but this breed, so special but it is also so prone to so many bad things. I can't imagine going through this again.
As my children have posted on their instant messenger profiles....R.I.P. Butch you will be missed...I loved you very mucy.

I'm very sorry you lost your boy. I wish I could say anything to help but nothing really can. He is no longer in pain and is running again as his heart wanted to but his body couldn't. You did everything you could for him and loved him until the end. I hope someone will take such good care of me in my old age as you did of him. My best wishes to you and your family. He has lots of boxer babies at the bridge to play with.

I am so sorry for your lose. I wish it would not have to be so painful when we lose one of our furkids. I have lost furkids also, so I know how you are feeling. I hope that you do not give up on the boxer breed, eventhough they are prone to certain illnesses. They bring such joy while they are with us. I have lost 2 boxers, and I always get another. There is just something about their character that other breeds just do not have. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss...Butch will never truly be gone as long as he remains in your hearts. I know the thought of a new dog seems like a betrayal of sorts, but I am sure that Butch would want for his family to be happy and have the unconditional love and companionship of a new pup. You are not replacing him and while boxers are prone to many illnesses it is not always like it was with Butch in the end. I have had 4 boxers and 5 other breeds in my life and all but one lived to a ripe old age with very little illness. Give yourself time to heal and open your heart to a new love. I will keep you & your family in my prayers.

I am truly to sorry to hear Butch has gone to the Bridge. It has been almost a year ago that Holden left and it is still difficult, but it does get less painful. Holidays are especially hard, but there are so many happy memories one has to smile at some of those crazy boxer antics that play over and over in our minds.

Godspeed Butch.
