HA! Zira has tantrums too - boxers are just too funny. Zira's tantrums usually occur when Zeke is snuggling with me on the couch and Miss Zira decides that she should be snuggling with her mama. She will whine, paw at my leg, woo-woo, and literally stomp her feet until she gets her way. But who can resist those faces? They win every time.

Thanks for the visual. That truly had me I'm not sure I've ever seen a boxer tantrum but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to stifle my laughter!

I have let Punchie sleep in the bed with us since the day we first got her as a wee tiny pup and I wouldn't have it any other way. As a matter of fact, if we ever stay away from home, I find that I have a hard time falling asleep without my 65 lb furry little heater next to me.

Well, last night when Ripley and I were headed off to bed, he decided to show his tooshie a bit. I told him to get in his bed, and when he did I put up the baby gate and climbed into my bed. (His is on the floor next to me) Well, he decides that he is going to get into MY bed, so he jumps on up. I tell him no and put him back on his bed, and he proceeds to throw a MAJOR tantrum. Snarling, throwing himself into the bed, throwing himself on the floor, woo-wooing, biting (not hard, just mouthing). I finally had to physically hold him down until he calmed down, which he did.

Then, when I let him go, he rested his precious head on the side of the bed right in front of my face and gave me the MOST PITIFUL LOOK EVER!! Then he kissed my nose. How could ANYONE say no to that?? Needless to say, Ripley slept in the bed with us for the first time last night. He did very well. He fell asleep curled up behind my knees. He didn't move around too much...I woke up when he did move. He managed to inch his way up to the head of the bed and sleep with his head on my pillow. I have to admit...I kinda loved it!!lovicon

Zoe has never been allowed in the bed but she is on the couches downstairs. Funny that she knows not to get on the furniture unless it's covered though.

She used to throw tantrums when we would eat...whining and doing that yawn/whine thing she does. It is quite funny, but it got bothersome. It took about a week of training, but now when we eat she curls up her pillow and waits for us to finish, or sometimes lay under the table where we eat, but she doesn't bother us anymore. She knows if she's good that once we are done eating, there's a big dish of yogurt waiting for her!

As far as sleeping goes, she is usually curled up on the couch when we head to bed so she stays there the whole night. Everyone tells me that she'll end up in the bed, but we've had no desire to let her in the bed with us. When we sleep downstairs though, you can bet she's curled up on the couch or recliner with one of us. It's so funny on the recliner b/c she sit between my legs or on my lap (63 lbs) and sleep. When she was small it was no biggie, but now when I get up the whole chair leans forward and touches the ground almost and she just keeps sleeping! It's so funny.
