We got in a fight...he won

Well, last night when Ripley and I were headed off to bed, he decided to show his tooshie a bit. I told him to get in his bed, and when he did I put up the baby gate and climbed into my bed. (His is on the floor next to me) Well, he decides that he is going to get into MY bed, so he jumps on up. I tell him no and put him back on his bed, and he proceeds to throw a MAJOR tantrum. Snarling, throwing himself into the bed, throwing himself on the floor, woo-wooing, biting (not hard, just mouthing). I finally had to physically hold him down until he calmed down, which he did.

Then, when I let him go, he rested his precious head on the side of the bed right in front of my face and gave me the MOST PITIFUL LOOK EVER!! Then he kissed my nose. How could ANYONE say no to that?? Needless to say, Ripley slept in the bed with us for the first time last night. He did very well. He fell asleep curled up behind my knees. He didn't move around too much...I woke up when he did move. He managed to inch his way up to the head of the bed and sleep with his head on my pillow. I have to admit...I kinda loved it!!lovicon

Good luck ever getting him back on his bed

It's a good thing we have a king sized bed because our 2 are always in it with us and lately they have inched from being curled up by our knees to being stretched out right next to us...a few mornings I have woken up with Millie's head on my pillow and my head on the mattress. This morning I could barely get out because i was sandwiched between the two of them who had me pinned under the covers.

But....I love every minute of it.

Too funny!!! I hate to admit I absolutely LOVE their tantrums! It just makes me laugh! And yeah, they usually win too cause I am laughing too hard to fight it!

Oh how I love sleeping with my Cody........he always ends up with his sweet head on my pillow snoring softly and sweetly in my ear. Such a precious face to wake up to.....I love that boy lovicon .

oh boy

I think that is the same route I am heading for. We crate Rocky at night in a seperate room but lately in the morning when he wakes up (around 6) I've brought him into our room and up in bed with us for that last 1 hour of sleep. He does well and relaxes right away and falls asleep. But he's been waking up earlier and earlier and when I carry him into my room I can't help but wonder - is he doing that on purpose because he knows i'll take him into our bed if he wakes up before we do?

Sneaky little guy - but I have a feeling if it weren't for my hubby we'd already have this 4 mo. old 30# guy in bed with us every night. He's soo warm and cuddly. I love it.

Way to go Ripley!
I had a no couch/no bed rule into Sam came along. I went away from the living room & when I returned, he was on the couch. He gave me the most pitiful look; I totally caved. No it is two boxers on the couch & bed- everyday. I love it!!!

My two dogs also sleep in bed with us. I love to wake up and cuddle with them before getting up!

My baby does that too! The sad eyes and the sad painful sigh! Needless to say my darling sleeps in our bed every night!

Too cute... that look is a killer =D We have had our couches in storage for the last couple of months and I just got them back today. Before we put them away, both girls would be on the couch sleeping while I watch telly but it seems that a couple of months of habit have been great for us... I'm sitting in the loungeroom and they have both taken themselves off to bed (their own beds on the floor in our room). They are soooo cute I love snuggling with them in the morning but I know I sleep soooo much better when I'm not fighting two dogs, a cat and my husband for some doona!
