I hope the prescription works. That snort you spoke of, I wonder if it is a reverse sneeze. I was once told that my boy had a "reverse sneeze" and that was all that was said about it really. Boxers can get colds, you just have to keep watch that it doesn't turn into something more serious :).

Her 3rd day and no morning vomiting! She still has that occasional elongated snorting so let's hope that gets cleared up as well.

Thanks for all the great replies.

I think it sounds like a reverse sneeze. We asked the vet when Rolen was doing it and he said it's not a medical condition. He said to just tell him "ah ah" to get him to quit. We did and he's never done it again.

Yeah...I do believe that is a reverse sneeze. The longest that Harley ever had this was maybe a week or two and then it stopped. That was just once though. I think that the webpage you found on reverse sneezing sounds like it gives good advice. As with anything, if it becomes severe or longlasting, it should be further investigated.

BTW, she is a cutie :)

Josi does that once in awhile...I chalk it up to her trying to clear her throat almost like when a cat gets a hairball.

Just wanted to post and telll you how adorable she is...thank you for the video:)

She started doing it about 3 weeks ago - it was not so bad but recently, she's had bouts of it while sleeping and today she freaked me out while on my way to giving her a walk, she kept doing it and that's when I said I have to get this on tape and post it up.

So is this going to be a regular thing from now on or will it eventually go away?

It shouldn't be a regular thing I don't think...it is not for Josi. I am sure it is related to her cold and once she starts to be on the mend, I would think the reverse sneeze should subside. Keep us posted...
