Thanks. I went to the dr. this morning and she told me it's a stomach virus and I just have to wait it out. I'm scared I won't be well enough to go to the vet with Aus tomorrow.

Wonderful news!
Austin went for his check up this morning, and we got wonderful news! The lesion that was in his mouth is GONE!! There are no new ones, no swelling or discoloration, and his throat and tonsils are normal!!!! The oncol said the pred is acting as a chemo agent for him, and has now lowered him to 10mgs once a day. He goes back in a month to be checked again, but so far it looks like the treatment is working! I was also nervous because it looked like he was losing weight, I could see his backbone and for sure I thought something else was going on. They weighed him and he lost 4 pounds, but the oncol said it's not cancer related and that the pred is speeding up his metabolism. I'm so freaking relieved I can't put it into words. I hugged both of the doctors on my way out! (hey..they're not bad to look at, either!)

I am so happy to hear the good news. I know what it is like to wait.
Did the vet mention a side effect of the Pred being muscle wasting? That could be why he looks skinnier to you. I know I saw that with both Mindy and my grandmother's boxer, Brutis.

I am so glad to hear he is doing so well. You all need to celebrate-steak for Austin!
