Very, very bad news about Austin

Sending hugs & kisses to you & Austin. How is he doing? My boxer, Duke, was diag. w/ Lymphoma 5 weeks ago and it was a roller coaster ride until the end. He had several tumors in his stomach and we did 4 rounds of chemo until they came back. Hang it there & love every moment you have with Austin. They really are our children....

Thank you all for your support. The dr. said it would take a couple of days to see a difference, but he's more alert today and even played a little bit with my SIL today. I did some research on that Accutane and wasn't happy with what I read, so I'm glad he's off of it and hope that was the problem. Me on the other hand, I'm a mess. I watch him constantly and analyze every move he makes.

Duke's Mom, I'm sorry about your baby. Austin doesn't have any solid mass tumors with this type of lymphoma, it's just red spots on his gums.

I'm glad to hear Austin is doing better. When Ms. Ali was 13 months old the vet thought she had cancer in her paw. She had the lump removed and she was fine but the waiting was so stressful for me. I visualized her getting thinner every day. I was frantic. I can't imagine the stress you're under. I can't wait until the day that Austin will be all well again and you can relax. That day will come even though it seems so far away right now. Sending lots more healing vibes and good energy to you. Hugs

Yes, that day does seem far away. I'm hoping what's going on now is just from coming down off the higher dose of pred. I'm hoping and praying. He's just not himself at all today.

You are doing a wonderful job caring for him, it's natural and prefectly ok to over analyze things right now...just try to make a few moments to rest your head and mind each day.
