Thumbs up to you for helping poor RedMan. He certainly deserves a decent life with food and water and love. I hope his placement goes well.

Could the end of the ears have been frostbitten? I took in a longhaired black cat who had been homeless in sub zero weather. The ends of the ears looked kind of white. Vet said it was frostbite. Lewis stayed with us until his death this past summer from renal failure. We were lucky to have this raven beauty for 14 years.

I am so glad that the lady at least knew that you were a boxer lover, and you were there for the poor little guy. I don't understand why people get dogs if they "can't afford them" getting a pet is a BIG decision and not one that should be taken lightly.

I am glad that you were there for Redman and hope that he finds his forever home...

I would have done the same thing and how DARE that woman say she can't afford him....that is the problem!!! Affordability has nothing to do with it...she simply did not want him.....Thank God she came to you....I am sure other things ran through her head!! Bless you both and my heart goes out to you both!!

Great rescue story! I hope whoever takes him can afford heartworm treatment. Maybe the vet will lower the cost of treatment because it's a rescue. You did such a wonderful thing by helping this abused boxer. I hope he has a great life with his forever family.

What wonderful people you and your wife must be. I am so glad that you had your little talk with her. I wonder if she had a husband that may have threatened to kill the dog. So that may be the reason she came to you. No matter what the reason, he is in good hands now. The pup was sent to the right place. I hope that you will be able to find him a forever home for him, that will love him and provide for him. Perhaps even spoil him like we spoil ours. My prayers are with you. I hope you not only gave her a piece of your mind, but I hope you gave her the FLU.

You & you wife are true ANGELS!!

So many animals don't get a second chance at life. She could have dumped him on the street or allowed him to die as he surely would have had he been left there. You guys are nothing less than lifesavers! I hope the new home you find for Redman is extra special...maybe a young family with kids who will sneak him treats to make up for all the hunger pains he has suffered through. And I also agree with Cindy, it would be very just indeed if you just happened to pass on your Flu cootie-bugs to this excuse for a person.
