We buried Bruiser in our backyard, and are building a nice little memorial to him with a bench seat and a marker surrounded by flowers.

That was a beautiful tribute to your baby. It is obvious that you loved him very much and made his short time here so wonderful. I have tears in my eyes at the thought of how hard this must have been for you, my puppy is almost 5 months old and it just made me hug him that much tighter. God bless and I hope you are able to find another sweet soul to give a good home to when the time is right.

That was so touching - poor little guy. He reminds me of Scrapper when he was a puppy and that made my heart ache all the more. Thank you for sharing. And, I hope someday, when you feel healed enough, that your family will consider again bringing a Boxer into your home. Not to replace Bruiser, but because of him and to continue your relationship with our wonderful breed. It's clear that you loved Bruiser very much.
