buddy's mom, if you want to stay in Ontario, Tyrolean resorts in Collingwood is great. I recommend the executive chalet as the rest are a little old and dingy. The e. chalet is 2400 suare feet, two floors, 1 think 7 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 jacuzzi's, bbq, full kitchen, fireplace, laundry, etc. On the site is a pool, tennis, etc. Nearby is horseback riding, caving, golf, etc. Tyrolean believes dogs are part of the family and are more than welcome. Also, we had no problem with restaurants allowing Quincy on the patio (we just called ahead so they kept a corner open for us).

To buddy's mom,

If you are looking for pet friendly accommodations here is a link I picked up on another thread and lists accommodations in Canada:

Also I believe Residence Inn by Marriott hotels accept pet (maybe a fee??) because they are a long term stay hotel. Hope you find something, and let us know. Although it is out of the question for us this year (getting the new pup in June) if we decide to go somewhere next year I would like to bring him with us.

Usually when we go on vacations, it's usually just for the weekend. The longest vacation we took was to Florida (2 weeks), at that time Nikki stayed home with her mama & papa (my parents).

This July we're going to Long Beach for about a week. Nikki is going with us. We may leave her at a doggie daycare during the day while we do some site-seeing.

Usually we like to include her in our vacations, unless we fly (which is rare!).

My hubby has a hard time leaving her. :D

Last yr we took capone to wells maine with us in the fall when dogs are allowed on the beaches all day . This year we are going in july and we found out in kennbunk maine that he can be on the beaches before 9am and after 5pm so that is were we are going we do not have allot of money so it is good for us we eat in.

we always find some good things to do. another good place to take dogs is White mtn in nh alot of good hiking and they are very dog friendly.

We are in the process now of looking for someone and as a result of this board we hope to meet another boxer family that we can do an exchange with. We have in the past taken her with us and that has made the vacations more fun than in the past. I thought that if she stayed with another Boxer family that would be the best. I worry about her becomming lonely if she were to stay at home alone with a sitter. Heck I worry not matter what but you got to live your life. All of the kennels in our area were very noisy and she would not get the individual attention she craves. Boxer need lots of attention as you all know.

boxersbest and catneon Thankyou

for the leads. I will look into Tyrolean in Collingwood and Residence Inn.

You have NO idea how badly we need a vacation, and I was honestly thinking there was No where for us to get away to that would allow Kailee and Clyde. It has been a stressful year for us and we truly need to kick back and de-stress some here. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou :D
