Update. Somba has not gone to The Bridge yet!

I am so sorry that there is no hope anymore :( Please be strong and remember that Somba will soon be in no pain. She will be grateful to you to let her go now and not make her suffer anymore... She will be strong and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge, an she will not forget you, but will wait for you.

You have all been so kind, I can't thank you enough for your expressions of sympathy and support. Somba's appt. is at 11:45 this morning. Not to diminish her worth to us in any way....but we'll be looking for a soul to rescue that can fit into our little clan here. Our skinkids are older, 13 & 17, so that's not a problem. we have no cats(explained elsewhere) and both of our other furbabies are used to other dogs. We prefer female dogs preferably spayed but we can have that done with no problem. If any of you know of any in need of rescue fairly close by let us know please. Adult dogs are OK but since we really can't go through this again in the near future we would prefer they be younger adults 2 or 3 maybe. Although Betty in Melbourne sure does look awful cute and sweet.

I just wanted to send my thoughts of condolence to you and your family. We helped our Darby to the bridge two months ago and although I do miss her wiggles and cuddles,- the pain heals. Time will ease your sadness and a new boxer in the house can certainly be a loving tribute. Peace to you in the days to come.

I just now caught up on this thread and I am a little behind. I just wanted to include my sympathies. I am so sorry that you had to make this final decision. We helped Rocko last year and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
