Update on Bailey...keep those prayers coming

[Bailey and Riley's Mom]

We got the results of Baileys latest blood work back and it doesn't look good. Her lipase is back up to 4500 and her hives are coming every other day. My vet didn't know what more to do so he reffered us down to Colorado State University. We got an appointment on wed. at 10:45 am. We live up in Grand Junction, Colorado so it will take about 5 hours to get there if the roads are good. The vet is leaning towards a mast cell tumor because of the hives and he thinks it might be in her pancrease (high lipase) She is only 2 years old. Keep us in your thoughts and I promise to keep you all updated. Thank you ll so much for the kind words so far. Kate

Good luck! I know how hard it is for you. I had great luck taking my German Shepherd to A&M when I lived in TX. They were so considerate and spent a lot of time on him. I am sure CSU is similar and will be able to help.

I am sending our continued prayers and good thoughts. Please know that Tucker, Luna and I hope that Bailey is back to her old self soon. Tell her she has to get better in time for our next bash! CSU is fabulous. I have known 2 dogs go up there and the staff is great. They will work to find out what is going on. I was so hoping for good news today as I'm sure everyone was. I'm sorry. The switch to the veterinary school is without a doubt the best thing you can do. We will continue to keep you close in heart and in our prayers. Tonight is the candle lighting ceremony and I will light a candle for our sweet Bailey and say the healing prayer for her. Try to stay strong and if you want to talk, I'll be very willing to listen. djk
