Boxer Insane
Boy I haven't had a great Christmas this year. Christmas Eve I had to take Crash, my rotti, to the emergency clinic because his left nostril was getting very swollen and he wasn't acting himself. I was worried he was having a reaction to something. Turns out after getting 2 shots, the swelling didn't go down so they sent me home and asked me to watch it (they were thinking something got into his nose).
Christmas Day the swelling went down for him, but then Tyson began throwing up at 2 AM. It was just bile at first, so I figured he was hungry and tried to feed him something. He wouldn't eat. A few hours later he finally ate a couple bites of food. He seemed to be acting OK, but DH said that he threw up again last night. This morning he isn't himself. It's 11:30 and he's still sleeping. I've seen him go pee, but haven't seen him poop. I hope he doesn't have a blockage. :( A lady I talked to at the emergency clinic on New Years Eve had that problem w/ her dog and Tyson is showing all of the signs. My regular vet isn't opened, but I'm getting very worried so most likely I'm going to make another trip to the emergency vet.

He was a little dehydrated since he wouldn't eat or drink all day, so they injected him w/ some Pepto to ease his stomach and some fluids (so he has a huge bubble looking thing on his shoulder where the fluids are sitting, and it's gone half way down since we got home). He's still pretty lethargic, so hopefully he's back to his old self soon. The vet's not really sure what happened. She thinks that he just ate something that didn't agree w/ him, but I have no idea what that would have been. He's not normally out of my sight and I didn't see him eat anything unusual. He'll be on a bland diet for 2 - 3 days and then we'll slowly transfer him back over to his regular food.
