With Deepest Sympathy

I'm sorry for your loss of Tobi. We had to put our Caitlynn to sleep this past September and our Vet sent us this in a sympathy card. Three weeks before she left us we put a nine week old boxer puppy with her, after she left us I felt guilty for having 4by until I read this and I to believe that her spirt lives in 4by I can see her in his eyes.
When I'm gone, don't cry for me.
Please smile each time you think of me.
I'm not beneath the ground you see.
Each breeze that blows is part of me.
I'm in the clouds so soft and white.
My eyes will shine in stars at night.
Don't think of me as gone for good.
I'll be around, I knew I would.
I'm watching everything you do.
I am still sharing my life with you.
No need to look both far and near,
Just listen close. I am right hear.
I'm here to listen every day
To all the things you want to say.
I've seen you cry so many tears.
Be glad we had so many years.
I'll wait until you come for me.
Ours lives will be like they used to be.
We'll both be whole and free of pain.
My life with you will be back again.
Please take the love you gave to me
And give to others just like me.
So when I'm gone, don't cry for me.
But smile each time you think of me.

Oh, I'm so very sorry for your loss! **hugs** and kind wishes for you. I know you feel so bad now but soon time will ease the memories for you and you will only remember the fun you had with Tobie. Like the others, I also think the best outlet for your love is another Boxer puppy. I wish I could say something to make you feel better.

My heart is breaking for you. May God watch over you and Tobie. As I was reading this thread I was praying that things would be okay, then I read your last post and just broke down crying. I am so so sorry for your loss.

thank you all so much

the poem above is so beautiful. I like thinking he is up there somewhere bounding around and still watching over me.
I do feel I want another boxer, but I know now that you never know how long you have with them and you must cherish every moment. I keep thinking of him in full speed running around the house, the pictures of him being so sick over the last two weeks don't seem to enter my mind.
I know how hard is is to work after something like this, I worked today, and I would start doing something or start to go get something and forget what I was doing. I'm a computer tech and I probably broke more computers then I fixed today. I've had a lot of personal loss in my life, but Tobie was my best friend, by my side every moment, and he saw me through some really rough times. I don't think I ever cared more for a pet. I know I could love another boxer, but won't I be afraid too?
Thank you all for your caring and understanding.

Tazi,
I am so sorry, words cannot express it enough :( I just got home from work and this was the first thing I checked to see how Tobie was doing. I was thinking about him and his MRI all day today. I am sitting here crying as I type this, I was really praying for him to get better. As others have said, Tobie is at the bridge now pain free and having a great time running and playing. Don't worry, he is not alone, he has all of our boxers baby's up there to keep him company until you meet again. Once again, I am so sorry for your loss, you and your family our in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time :(

I am so sorry to hear your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine how sad you must be feeling. I'm balling as I read all your updates. I'm sure Tobie loved you very much, you sound like a very good mom to Tobie. If it helps any, think of it that he is no longer in pain and stress. I am so sorry for your loss.

Tazi,
When we had Caitlynn put to sleep because of severe heart problems we had 4by for three weeks. We had gotten him to help us and hoping that he would learn from Caitlynn which he did. All the love that we gave Caitlynn we now give 4by and he gives it back, he has not let us down. Boxers have a way of winning your heart there is no other animal in the world like them. They all seem to have the same traits and love. We miss Caitlynn just like you miss Tobi but another boxer will help and Tobi won't mind because he knows that you love him and that he has a special place in your heart for him. Tobi will share your heart with another boxer because he doesn't want to see you sad and he knows that there are other boxers that need the love you have. It is hard to get another one because you feel cheated out of time with Tobi and that his life was to short, take some time and remember the poem that says give the love you gave me to another and when you look into the puppies face from time to time you will see Tobi. Since they all have the same traits you will get a laugh and think back of all the good times you had with Tobi, we see Caitlynn in 4by and sometimes call him little Caitlynn when he does something that she used to do. You are lucky you have found Boxerworld these are the nicest and caring people and will do anything they can to help in your time of loss. We will keep saying prayers for you.

Tazi-- I am so sorry for your loss. Tobie is no longer scared and in pain. I'm sure he is running and playing with all of the other dogs at the Rainbow Bridge. And I'm sure he is with you right now. His spirit will be with you always.

:( I checked this thread straight away to get an update on Tobie and was very saddened to read what happened.

There's no words to say to make you feel better, I have been through it and I know exactly how you feel. It's the worst time ever. (((hugs))) to you, I hope your heart heals quickly.

I have to add, that getting Hannah helped heal my heart when I lost Mollie. I still cry over her 12 months later and I still miss more than ever .....but I have a new girl to love on and that helps so much.

Thinking of you.....

Tazi -

I can't begin to express how terribly sorry I am for your loss. I've been following your story since the first post, and am so saddened to read of Tobies passing. You story has me in tears. Its clear that Tobie was sooo very loved by you and he loved you just as much in return. Its a small blessing that he went so peacefully, surrounded by people that were caring so diligently for him and feeling the warmth of a human touch.

You are in my thoughts and prayers as you make it through this tough time.
