Thank you all..words cannot express the hurt but knowing someone cares as much as I do helps so much. I think yesterday was when the true awful reality of it all finally set in. I think I cried all day here at work. He brought something special with him to us and it will not be forgotten.. We have decided to do a donation of food, blankets and a couple toys here in the next couple weeks to our local SPCA in memory of Tug.

That is what I have done and will do with our local Boxer Rescue. Somehow sending them donations has helped in my lose of KOKO and Cassius( both in one years timeframe )

Tho it may be hard to believe it now but it will get better with time. It took me weeks before I could talk about Cassius without crying. KOKO was easier because we have been expecting it for the last 3 years and we knew she had lived a complete lifespan. Everytime I think about them tho I start to choke-up or cry.

Just remember crying is healthy and part of the grieving process. It also helps me to keep the idea of the rainbow bridge in mind, in that I will see them again and that they are now pain free and happy. It is always the ones left behind that have a harder time. They are all having a fine time doing boxer burns etc. with no one there to tell them to get off the counter, get out of the garbage can, or to stop chewing the furniture etc. ;)

Karen,
I am so sorry for your loss. I also know what it's like to lose a baby way to soon. We lost our Ali back in June and he was just a year and a half old. I know the pain you must be feeling right now and I wish there was something I could do for you! You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
