My tree and all the decorations have been up for over a week and all is still standing. The only thing that has been of interest are the X-mas cards from the BW members.

Oh yeah and the three foot stuffed snowman I bought this year is a real winner for Carson. He's humped that poor snowman to death. :D

Rocky's first Christmas

This is Rocky's first Christmas. I was terrified of what Rocky would do after hearing so many stories of dogs eating the glass balls. But so far so good. I did buy some of that bitter apple stuff but he just licked it. So much for that stuff working. the only problems have been one chewed set of lights and one ball down but not broken in a weeks time. I say that's pretty good.

We have been very lucky, Kyrie doesnt really care about the tree. She investigated it the first day and that was it. Now the bows on the gifts is a whole other story!! She has chewed a few of those up! But its funny, she only goes after the bows on packages that are to someone from her! ( I know... ) Oh well, bows are cheap! lol

Uh, no tree for us this year!!!! Last year was just too darn exciting, ha ha ha! I laughed until I cried at these postings.

I had a small tree last year, about 3 feet tall. I decorated it with all of my favorites...ones that I have collected for years. Oh yes, the tree came tumbling down off of the table, and more than once! I finally got so aggravated that I picked the tree up, still decorated, and put it in a box! No, I wasn't mad at Samson (we didn't have Delilah yet), but I can laugh at it now!

I am NOT going to attempt a tree for a long time to come!

I am still smiling!!!!

we put up our tree tonight...the first thing cajun did was smell it and then LICK it! i'm sure it couldn't have tasted that good! but after that he found his bone and ignored us while we decorated it and put lights all around...so hopefully (crossing fingers and toes!!) he won't even bother with it....i'll tell ya'll in a few weeks!!:)

I'm kinda dreading putting up our tree this year. It's apollo's first christmas and I also have a 19 month old son, who's getting around a lot better than he was last year. They are partners in crime now, I could only imagine how they're going to be this weekend when we put the tree up..

Last year Hoku was only a little over 4mo old, so we could still manage to carry him away or create barriers to keep him out of places we didn't want him to be, now He'll be 16 mo. and pushing 80 pounds (Big Boned)lol, so it should be very interesting setting up this year.:)

We don't have any problems with the boys messing with the ornaments, but the first year we had Omar, he hiked his leg on my artificial tree. smashicon The funny thing was, it had been up for about two weeks before he decided to try it out.

Kimber & Mac

Uhoh, now I am worried. Last year was Mac's 1st Christmas, but it was weird, so he didn't really experience the tree much. I stayed at my dad's cause I had wrist surgery and my mom was moving and had no room for me. So, since my dad doesn't like puppies Mac pretty much stayed in my room or we went out ot play.

This year I iwll be at my mom's and Mac will have the run of the house. We will have a BIG tree, plus my sister's and I each have a little (3 - 6 foot) tree in our rooms. we all collect ornaments of a certain type.

This could be a REAL mess. And with Mollie, Mac's lab/great dane best friend and my sisters dog runnin' around with him and that giant tail of hers...hmmm...
