Toys for Boxers.... recommendations and post what your dog likes

I also test the sound of the squeak before buying squeak toys! haha!

Gus loves ropes and he LOVES squeak toys, so I got him a squeaky rope at Petsmart. It's his favorite indoor toy. He used to eat the fuzzy rope ends as a puppy so it's only the last few months he's been allowed rope toys again, and he absolutely loves to play tug now.

His favorite outdoor toy is a tennis ball thrown by the chuckit. He will carry it around even to play with the neighbor dog, which Lucky loves because it keeps Gus from biting him. But HE can still bite GUS! HA!

I just bought Tucker a kong wobbler for Christmas...I hope he likes it!

We got Tyson a JW Toys Cuz toy for Christmas. He loves it and I also think it frustrates him at the same time. When I ordered it I didn't realize it came in different sizes and the one I ordered is rather large and won't fit all the way in his mouth so he'll take both front paws and jump on it to make it squeek........it's one of the funniest things to watch.

Fat Cat stuffed toys are the only stuffed toys I ever bought that Mav and Lex didn't get the stuffing out of within minutes. I have maybe 5 or 6 that I have had for at least 5 years. I do buy Lex a cheap stuffed toy every so often because she loves pulling all the stuffing out (she does not eat it). She will also play with the toy well after it has been de-stuffed. I also have some Kong squeakies, a Kong for stuffing, and some random squeakies.

A couple more:

Stuffed raccoon that makes a raccoon sound
A ball, I'm not sure what they are called but they are made of flexible rubber with holes so the dog can easily grasp them. Nubz got it for Christmas and absolutely loves it.
A "skineez" stuffing free toy with an empty water bottle in it.



There are some really great toys out there.

Gracie loves the Monster series: monster mouth and monster ball, from jollypets. She growls at them, lunges, boxes, the whole array of boxer fun moves.

She also drives us insane indoors with this soft rubber frisbee she keeps fetching. Outdoors, though, she will not fetch that frisbee no matter what.

Anything with a rope is also well received!

Kong Wubbas are great!

I bought Lily a kong wubba for christmas and both her and Dood play with it. Theyre both 8 months old so theyre getting quite a strong bite and pull. They like it much more than i thought they would, in fact Lily often runs off and picks it up when she wants a play. Its practically undamaged apart from a few of the tails fraying slightly.
I'd definately reccomend one for both durability and for some reason, the dogs love it!

Brodie loves any toy that one of my other dogs is playing with - ! He especially loves squeaky toys. He's little enough right now that he's not destroying them yet, but that will change soon, I'm sure. He'll also gnaw on his Nylabone for a couple of minutes if he's bored in his crate.

Dante is a real big fan of the Jolly Pet Teaser Ball Dog Toy, and the dental tug of war rope, and a few plush animal squeak toys.
