Toys for Boxers.... recommendations and post what your dog likes

Cornelius' fav toys are anything with an obnoxious squeaker. But to name a few:

1. Henrietta Chicken
2. Babble Ball (in a Hol-ee Roller Ball so he doesn't ruin it)
3. Some sort of extra large Cuz toy
4. Jolly Pet tug 'n toss ball

Did I mention anything with a squeaker??

We mostly stick to Nylabones because they are pretty much the only toys Juno can't destroy/eat. We have various varieties of them - bones, dinosaurs, rings, etc.

She also likes balls, but destroys those as well - so far I have found that the rubber Chuck-It balls hold up really well (we've had ours for about 1 year and it's still going strong!).

Jolly Balls are a good (outdoor) toy! Juno always tries bringing hers inside but it is super annoying to have her rolling it around the hardwood floors .

We have a couple Kongs as well - Juno can't destroy them, but for the most part she ignores them unless they are stuffed with food.


She pretty much loves ALL toys but those are the only things I can leave out in her toy box. Plush toys, her Kong Wubba, frisbees, tennis balls, etc. etc. all have to be kept away and only taken out if I can supervise/actively play with her. She would probably say that squeaky plush toys are her favorite, but all she does with them is rip them apart and pull out the stuffing.

Dakota likes to tear up boxes. He will tear them up then play chase with the pieces. Silly boxer.

Milly loves her JW Toys (Cuz, the little round guy with feet and a chicken she loves them and has had the little round guy for about 1.5 years)

Duck - not sure who makes it, its about two feet long, has no stuffing but 5 squeakers in in, only one works but she still loves that thing. She runs through the house and shakes it up like there is no tomorrow

AKC Buffalo - We got this at Petco about a year ago and its still alive - the squeaker still works - Some fur missing but she will chew and pounce on it

Her last favorite is a cheapy from petco but for some reason is in love. Its a rope with a cone shape plastic end on it with little spikes almost. she loves that thing for tug - kong makes a good one with a tennis ball - the life on it isn't very long though

...and ofcourse any ball - however we took those away in the house, she has a tendency to hide them in the cushions of the couch and dig

forget anything with stuffing inside, unless the outside is the real firehose material and not the cheap "look-alike" firehose stuff. you'll realize very quickly.

Starz is an aggressive chewer and its almost always her toys. She'll sit down and chew on something until its 'dead'. I generally get the heavy duty rubber toys so they last more than a few hours.

We've got multiple sizes of these and she absolutely loves them. She's chewed a piece off of one of them but i just cut it clean with scissors and shes got it back now.

Also, I don't buy anything with rope or long tassels because she can chew them off quite easily and I don't want the risk of any blockages.

Zoe loves almost any toy, especially if it's Macy's A couple of her favorites are:

1. Stuffed toys... for about 10 minutes. Then they are stuffing-less toys. But she loves them still without the stuffing.

2. Squeaky tennis balls

3. Her lion. This was her first toy. It's a stuffed lion that she hasn't destroyed. As previously mentioned, she rips the stuffing out of every toy. But not her lion

I forgot one - we just got it for her about a week or so ago and she loves it, it also aids in cleaning her little chompers.
Its called Hartz Chew n Clean Country Bacon Flavor. It has this hard bacon flavored treat packed in between the 'comb' like plastic. Milly will sit and lick and try and get it. Its challenging. There is only one little piece taken out of it. Great to give her when I am washing the floors and need her in one spot

Right now we have 4 toys for Thor only got him 2 days ago. We have the Kong Wubba and he would rather nip your hands when you try and get him to play with it. Also a small knog you put treats in. He played with it the first night and hasn't had much interests in it sense. Also the chicken and makes weird noises when you press on its belly, Not sure how hes taken to it. Mostly barks at it.

The best toy he spends a good 30mins to and hr playing with is a stuff less animal with a plastic water bottle in side. LOVEs this we are going to buy more just to have

Baron loves his fluffy stuffed squeaker toy the most. I think a close second is whipping his rope toy around while frolicking through the apartment. hehehe Sounds like he's a close comparasion to his kin above. ; )

He's getting a jolly ball and a wobble ball from Santa. From what I read above, sounds like those "should" be hits.

Thor's favorite is an antler. Arabella has several favorites. First is anything Thor has! Her personal favorite is a plain old tennis ball. She also has a kitty made by JW Pet (the makers of the Cuz). She loves to run thru the house squeaking away with it. It has a pitch that can send me into seizures so we save that for a special treat. That one toy has also taught me to test squeak anything before buying it. I get some strange looks when I stand in the toy aisle and squeeze a toy about quickly about 20 times, but I figure my sanity is worth it.
