Will Marley know the difference between the baby's toys and his own? I don't see this as being a big problem since he's NEVER chewed up anything that was not his. He just seems to know. I'm hoping that good behavior will continue when there's baby toys all over!

We got our first boxer, Rocky, when our sons were very small, 2 wks, 2 yrs and 3 rs. He learned very easily, his toys verses our sons. Now the kids, they were a whole different matter

My guys are bad! They realized where the "Gold Mine" is, My kids closet has all their stuffed animals and every chance they get they are in there after one. We are constantly closing their door because the dogs have chewed up several of the kids favorites.

We have a 2 year old skin son and a 5 months old fur girl and she has no concept of which toys are hers and which is his. We try to teach her but she just LOVES to chew. She will chew on anything that is around. We have learned to just make sure there is nothing around. :)

I have a home daycare and I cannot keep Shae out of ANYTHING!!! She sneaks in the toyroom to take whatever she can get.....first love-stuffed toys......second-dolls.......next-cars, trucks,purses......you name it. And baby toys??? Forget it!! If it plays music, lights up, sings.....any noise.......it's hers! She steals them off the saucer trays........high chair trays.....everyplace! The baby toys that play music and such, she 'jack hammers' them with her front legs, barking at them, and that usually hits at least one button and makes the toy do something, causing her to continue all of the above, and sometimes push the toy around the room, with her 2 front legs sort of 'riding' it! She's a mess!

That pretty well describes Bubbie Roo! Of course he is a really cute, sweet, irresistible little mess, ha-ha!

Same here. The dogs just seem to know what belongs to the baby, but we have a heck of a time keeping her out of their icky toys.

Well, Fletcher knows the difference between the kids toys and his own but that doesn't seem to phase him!!!! He rarely ever chews things up but he sure does love stuffed animals and for some reason Dora The Explorer dolls  He has sent two doras to the other side and is really intersted in the third.

We Luv Riley

Boxer Pal
Our Riley is very normal I guess...he too knows which toys are his and what belongs to my daughter. Riley is very partial to the Barbies...he drags them around the house by their hair. He is very naughty about it...he will take them right to my daughter and shake them them until she gets mad at him and then hes off and and running!!

Macon's Mom

Completely Boxer Crazy
Hmmm so I know Macon is going to "claim" many of our baby's toys (we're due in 5 wks). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid this? Are there any things that are "supposed" to work that you've tried? Just curious.
I've already started pushing buttons on toys and making them play music, etc. but I've noticed dried Macon kisses on the stuffed animals in her toy basket :D, so I think I need some help.
