Toxic to dogs

That is one of Sasha's main treats. She likes ALL cheese. She even knows the sound of the sliced cheese wrapper and comes immediately if we open the shredded cheese. She's rotten

Pork

We gave our Shelby pork as a treat when she was younger. NEVER EVER Again. She became so so so so so sick. The vet said that pork is one of the worst foods that you can give a dog. I had to wean her back to her regular food. I made her rice daily then a few days later had to add chicken then again a few days later was able to mix it with her food - slowly.

I will never ever give my pups pork again!!

Pork is NOT toxic to dogs - many raw feeders use it as a staple, even. But you should not give things like ham or other cured pork to dogs, it is far too high in salt and sugar and is likely to give them a bad case of indigestion. Raw pork with no treatments is just fine.

I'm sure that, that was what is was then - it was part of a pork roast. It was a dumb mistake!!

I also read somewhere about grapes/raisons not being a good thing for dogs....I suppose cause and effect has to do with the amount of grapes and the weight of the dog, etc. I knew about onions and often wondered about the safety of the dog cookie recipes that use garlic, which is an onion...must be about type of oninon....anyway, just rambling on here, as it is raining as it has for the past week and will for the next 4 days!!!

I notice that Poinsettia isn't on the "toxic to dogs" list.

There is a lot of information stating both it is and it is not toxic to dogs.

Does anyone here have any actual history/knowledge with this plant.

I have heard to keep Poinsettas away from the furry ones.
I have also heard to keep some of the above listed away from our buddies, but some of the plant names, I just don't know what they are...I watch them anyway to stay away from anything but grass.

Okay, does anyone know if the leaves of a Locust tree are toxic to dogs? Rocky has diarrhea and I found some of those leaves in his stool. There is one of those trees outside our balcony and the leaves sometimes fall on it. He must have eaten some. Not sure if it's what caused the diarrhea or just a coincidence that it was in his stool.

I just looked at 2 of my dog shampoos and both contain Aloe, is that the same as the Aloe Cactus. If it were toxic to dogs why would it be added in shampoo and. I think it's also in "skin so soft" which a lot of people use as a mosquito deterrent. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to clarify I know that aloe comes from the aloe cactus, I just didn't know if lotion is processed somehow so it will not hurt a dog? Or it's probably just such a small amount, but I don't know. I know I wouldn't swallow 1/32 of a teaspoon of arsenic because its poisonous, so I wouldn't want to chance it with my dog.
