TOTW ~ formula change :(

New formula

I bought a bag of the bison mix before I realized it was changed. Thanks for this post- I have been watching Rocky closely.

He's been on the new formula for two days - a few things:

1. His poos have been fine - I don't even transition him between TOTW flavors - he does fine - no exception with this formula.
2. The kibble is SMALL. It is WAAAAY smaller than the other varities - and he has been having a hard time eating it. it gets caught in his throat or something - and he is gagging like every time he eats - I hope this comes to an end :(

Just my observations.

This is by far his FAVORITE flavor of TOTW so I hope he can figure out how to either eat slower or take more chews with this small kibble. He normally gets 1/3 can of wellness core w/ his food - but we haven't even added that since opening the new bag. As soon as this goes down he scarfs it.

We just bought a new bag of the wetlands formula and the kibble seems smaller, too. They must have changed something in the manufactoring process.

I thought I noticed the kibble being smaller in the Wetlands bag, too. When I opened the bag before this new one I was looking at it and swore it was smaller but I just figured I was nuts until this post! Glad to know I wasn't seeing things!

wow ~same here !! ... they are so small , it just FALLS out of the toy thing that you put kibble in !! so now i am looking for a decant "bigger" kibble that will stay in the ball .. its smallest opening is pretty big. I refuse to fill it full of treats !! as sam is getting pissed right now & throwing it because it gets empty so fast .. gatta run , while i still have windows !!

to save your windows: you could try evo, they have a large bite kibble. So far p&g hasn't changed the formula and my dogs really like it.

i will THANKS !! was NOT sure what to put in it ~ for now i put in the "cheese nip " cracker treats. BUT i really dont want to just free feed treats , to get a few minuets of peace !!

i will pick up a small bag and see how it does with the toy & the tummys !!

Just make sure you don't accidently pick up the evo small bites. They have both sizes, a small one and large bite. The small bites are even smaller than the totw!! What I sometimes do for Happy is I just throw a part of her kibble in the yard and she goes searching for it. Takes her a while and I get one of those rare moments of peace

I thought I was crazy when I noticed the size change in the kibble for the Pacific Stream flavor... The last bag I bought was smaller... I bought a bag one week ago and the kibble is bigger. Must come from two different assembly lines or something...

same here! my dogs are usually super sensitive with any change, but that change didn't seem to affect their tummy!
