I have a sign above my toilet on the wall that says, "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the seatie!"........maybe try to come up with a little rhyme like that....everyone chuckles when they read that at my house. =)

My dog Camy loves the toilet water.. It drives me insane, so we have been consistent in putting the lid down. However, Camy loves it when we take showers because she comes and licks all the water, and tries to lick us when we are drying off.. She is soo cute..

We usually keep the lid on the toilet down. Rock and Sammy have run of the house during the day and won't drink from the toilet even if the lid is up-so well trained, ha! The jury is still out on Duke. If given the opportunity he might do just about anything (that's why he is crated). Duke is a good boy in front of us, but still can't be trusted if left to his own desires.

It feels so much better to know I am not alone... The dogs "usually" will not toilet slurp... But one of ours cats (Willie) is a swirl swatter. When cleaning the toilet you have to really watch the corners of your eyes because he is lurking and waiting for that flush so he can swat the swirlies.. He loves to watch it.. Thank goodness most of the time he leaves it alone

Cooper watches it flush but hasn't ventured in yet (thank goodness).

But, my sister has a sign behind her toilet, it says "Please put down the lid, if we were meant to have a wet seat, we'd have been born with webbed feet" and there is a picuture of a duck sinking butt first into the toilet.... it's not a boxer, but it's a start!

I have constantly told my son:

If you leave the seat up and the dogs drink from it, they are gonna want to give a great big thank you kiss afterwards!


:D It really is hard to gross out boys enough where they will remember to do something.

I have never had a Boxer that didnt love drinking from the toilet. The 3 we have now are no differnt. For some reason I cant get my dh to put the lid down no matter how much I nag. There have been countless times I have come into one of the bathrooms and the bowl is dry. They always have fresh water in their bowl but for some reason they prefer it from the toilet??? I have heard that because the toilet is porcelin (sp?) that the water is cooler and thats why they do it but I really dont know, ????
