Time for a new couch

I have read many of stories about dogs destroying things and usually laugh when reading them. Then I came home today and paid for laughing. My couch has been destroyed. Of course I don't know which of the four did it, my best guess is Simba. All the stuffing in the seat cushions was out and all over the floor. I didn't see this coming at all. They've always been very well behaved. Something must have gotten into them while I was gone. I even have a cover on the couch and it was moved just to get to the stuffing in the cushions. I put everyone outside and cleaned it up and then let them back in to feed them. Not like they'd realize they did anything wrong. So I guess I get to rearrange some things tonight to block of the couch or at least what is left of the couch. :) I have a very plain house because of my dogs, less to get into, but I didn't think I'd have to protect my couch. So I guess when I get the new couch it's no more dogs on the couch. Oh what fun, teaching them to stay down. :)
So I want to say sorry for laughing at others naughty dogs. :)

Oops!

My pup hasn't destroyed my couch...hopefully he won't! :) But, when I was at church on Sunday, he had a BALL destroying my library book. He ripped the entire book into the smallest pieces of paper I had ever seen. On my lunch break tomorrow, I have to go pay for it! It's so "FUN" when a puppy is around!

Boxer Burn!

I should have known better But no... I had a cream and Tan striped couch when we got Dozer! Mind you I also have 2 cat's and 2 children under 3 years old! How stupid am I ? Well needless to say that whenever there is a boxer burn in my house my couch pays the price! He runs over it and yesterday put a huge tear into the canvas cushion cover! he then proceeded to rip the zipper for the cushion off and chew off the stuffing.... Funny thing is... My couch was really expensive and has springs in it and ended up biting dozer back when a spring came loose and popped him in the face! He yelped and spent the rest of the day on the floor staring at the couch! Aren't they just too funny!?

I wanted a new couch anyways!

 I know about having to buy new furniture! Luckily this boxer (my 4th) has been pretty easy on the furniture. My first boxer tore up EVERYTHING he could get his paws on! I remember one time specifically he tore up a styrofoam ice chest and the pieces were everywhere...the ice melted all over the floor leaving huge puddles and he even bit a couple of the cans...the spraymarks from the sodas were all over the walls. I really thought that day might be the end of Rocky, but my mom hid him and we cleaned the mess then let dad cool down. Rocky was lucky my mom really loved him! He had a thing for couch cushions also!

Samson would never chew up the couch, he thinks it is there just for him:) But, he does love my brand-new coffee table. It is a wicker trunk with a cushion on the top, and I found him snacking on it yesterday. Of course when I went to get the bitter apple spray, I could'nt find it:rolleyes: I'm sure I will find it as soon as I get a new bottle:)

Found the best couch... It is a natuzzi and it is a heavy worn leather.
I can rub the scratches right out and slobber wipes up like nothing...

Now cause I am bragging about how tough my couch is, it is going to be destroyed!! haha

OH April....so sorry the couch met it's end. I bet you were just flabergasted when you came in. We just recently bought a new couch because our other one had to go and I was concerned because of having Coco & two young kids but so far so good. Maybe you can just have a loveseat now rather than a couch :)

I know the feeling oh too well! The boxers are crated in our extended absence so they had not torn up the couch. But when Alex was a puppy OMG. We tried (operative word) to confine him to the small apartment kitchen. He was definately Houdini. I came home from work one evening and it looked as if it had snowed in the apartment. He was laying in the middle of it all sleeping like a baby. Guess all that distruction wore him out.

Oh, and what is it with dogs and wicker?! I got a wicker patio set and some baby(s) had taken to chewing on the corner of the coffee table.
