Ive recently decided I want to switch Cinnamons food once and for all. I spent about 2 hrs lookin for food reading the ingredients and so far Natural balance is in the lead as it has the least amount of fillers. Im just knid of lost.. I want to feed her the duck and potato one..to help with her allergies and cut down on the eye boogers, but correct me if im wrong but thats just the adult formula isnt it? And for those in Canada..i was going to get it at Pet Valu because thats the only place I found it at.. would you happen to know the cost??

Thhanks for the input.

Good Luck!! I say everytime that I switch Harley's food that it's going to be the last time. Unfortunately it never works out that way. He's been on Eukanuba Premium performance, Bil Jac, Science Diet Sensitive Stomach, Euk. low residue, Euk. Response FP, Nutro Ultra, California Natural, I/D, D/D, and a few others that I can't even remember at the moment. I tried a raw chicken wing and he got red bumps all over his body right away (an allergy, not detox). We are currently trying Nutro Chicken and Oatmeal for sensitive stomachs. Keep your fingers crossed!

My minpin is on the Duck and Potato and thriving on it. His eyes, ears, breath, paws are all better. He coat is shiny, silky and soft. He has been on NB for a few months now. I also give him a dermacap which is oils which I got from the vet to help clear up his allergies. My 12 week boxer girl is on the NB Premium, she too is thriving and LOVES it. She gets the canned with the dry. My vet says she looks awesome, no eye boogies either. I pay $35 for a 17 lb of Premium and $15 for the smaller bag of Duck & Potato and I get it at Petland as that is the only place here in Regina. The canned food is $1.79 and 1.89.

Do you have Eagle Pack where you live? I use the Eagle Pack Holistic "fish variety", but there are 3 different varieties of their Holistic line.

I used to feed NB Duck & Potato to my allergy boy, but since figured out that he can't have potatoes (among a zillion other things) due to overgrowth of yeast in his system. I switched to the above food as it was the only one of their brands that didn't have potato in it.

Things are going great for him now, after being on the NZYMES Yeast Kit, food change, etc.

Have you identified what her allergies are? reg. NB is good for sensitive dogs as well as it doesn't have corn. Are you wanting to feed her puppy food? Alot of people feel puppy food is unnecesay personally I never fed Magoo anything but adult NB, we got him when he was about 6 months old.

My parents GSD had similar problems and did well on wellness sweet potatoe and fish.
I guess sweet potatoe doesn't aggravate the way potatoe does.

Natural Balance is an excellent choice. Shelby loves the canned, dry, and food rolls that they make. From time to time I also purchase the duck/potato dry treats that they make.

I've had no problems at all with any of the NB foods, and I feel good about feeding them.

Can't recall the cost of the dry foods, but the cans are about $1.40 each here in the U.S.

We switched to NB due to chronic diarrhea on a couple of other brands--both dogs are doing REALLY well. Less eye boogers, very regular BM's and great skin and coat. Here in California it runs about $35-$40 depending on what type they are on (for a 35lb bag). I like the Ultra Premium. Also have given them the rolls and currently I am trying the canned. The rolls seem to make them really thirsty--but no problems on the cans.

I also have my cats on it. I was having problems getting both cats to eat the same food and both seem to love it (fingers crossed).
