RubyTuesMom

Boxer Buddy
We got Ruby from some friends of ours that had an accidental litter of pups. They didn't want any money for them, just a good home. I initially was totally against getting a puppy (of any kind), but my family and information I got from BW convinced me that a boxer would be a good fit for our home.

I know that if we got another one we would probably go the rescue route (which to me that is what Ruby is). There seems to be so many out their looking for a good home.

Ruby was the only girl in a litter of five pups and she has definitely grown on me. I spoil her rotten. So glad I was convinced to get her.

Boxer Pal
We got Brandy as a play mate for my lab. My hubby had boxers years before I had met him and he really liked the breed. A friend of ours got a boxer pup in our small town from a BYB (didn't know what that was at the time). We went to visit the pups and fell in love. The lady that had the pups was getting ready to move out of town and was really pushing to get the pups new homes. We picked the runt of the litter. She was the only fawn that had an all black mug. (now a few grey/white hairs on her chin). She has always been a very sweet gentle girl.
We got Draven back in October. He was about 19 months old. One of my hubby's family members had him. They were in the beginning of getting out of a bad domestic situation (abusive husband) and wanted us to keep him for a few months while they got rid of the jerk (hubby) or found a new place to live themselves. We took Draven in right away. Within 2 weeks they called and ask if we would be interested in keeping him forever. Duh, that was the fastest "yes" I think that ever came out of my mouth. I'm so glad we could keep him. We found out weeks later that "jerk" was very abusive to Draven also. Tried to stab him with scissors and all kinds of other mean things. He was rarely ever out of his crate. Now, he has 6 acres and a pond to run around on. The first time we let him off leash to run, I thought his legs were gonna fall off. Now, he's like Forrest Gump, where ever he goes, he is run-ning, (hehe) Anyway, that's how we got our babies. Other than a small seperation anxiety problem with Draven, they are wonderful family members.

Toni'smom

Super Boxer
Toni was a Valentine's gift from my BF. I had NEVER had a dog, always cats. My BF had a boxer many years ago and he just loved the breed. I did research and spent a lot of time here on Boxerworld. I decided that a boxer was what I wanted too. A bundle of energy and a whole lot of love. So Valentine's Day rolls around and here comes Toni. I love her so much. Being a first time "parent" I have made several mistakes with her and am planning on enrolling in obedience training school, not only for her but for me too, so that I can learn how to do this right. But, behavioral problems and all, what a gift that keeps on giving and giving. So much love, hugs and kisses.
