most of the pictures are from the day we brought her home (friday), which was the day after she turned 8 weeks.

The (backyard) breeder I bought Lilly from said she was 3.5 months old (that was a month and a half ago, and she still looks about Thora's size (weighs 11.5 lbs) :/

I'm thinking she was just 8 or so weeks when we bought her.

Here are some pics of Lilly:

So cute!!! I just love white boots :)

Is Lilly 11 1/2 pounds now? That would make her 5 months old (by the breeder). If so, then yeah, that sounds way off. At 5 months, I think a female would be somewhere between 30 and 40 pounds. I'm sure it varies though depending on rate of growth and genetics.

I've seen boxer pups at all different sizes at 8 weeks, usually ranging between 9-14 pounds, the males being on the larger side of the spectrum usually (but not necessarily). At Thora's appointment Saturday, she was 10.8 pounds and she was the largest female in her litter. It's hard to tell from your pictures, but judging by the one with the person in it, I think 3 months looks about right at the time of that picture. You can see here, pictured with my father-in-law, just how small Thora actually is, regardless of how she might look in her other pics.

thanks guys :) my girl has a little diarrhea this morning. she had one normal stool when she first woke up, but her after-breakfast stool was like pudding. hopefully it's nothing more than an upset tummy from too many treats or too much kibble. i told my parents to watch her closely today. we've been working on "sit" and "potty" with treats so maybe it's too much for her sensitive system. i thought for a moment that it could have been from her dive in the pool on sunday, but she had normal stools after that up until this one. she'll be going to the vet for a check if she still has it by tomorrow.

other than that, she's getting a little better in the car and in the bathroom with me during my morning routine. her crying periods for both are getting shorter appicon
she's doing pretty good with "go potty" #1 outside, but having some trouble associating potty with #2 and sneaks into her crate to do it if i'm not fast enough. i know dogs don't generalize well so i think i need to make a new command for #2 so she can differentiate between "go potty" (#1) and maybe "do your business" (#2). it stinks that she thinks it's ok to go potty in her crate and i'm sure it will be a little difficult to break her of it.

she is so cute :)
yeap.. mine have 2 different cues #1 is "go pee-pee" and #2 is "go potty"

;)

good luck!! :)

well, she already is starting to associate "potty" with peeing, so i guess i have to come up with something new for #2. i cant see myself standing out there going "go poo-poo thora" lol.

Lillie is the same way! I always ended up out there saying "go pee-pee" and "go poo-poo", but at least it worked :D now she associates "potty" with going in general

hopefully she learns to generalize potty eventually. for now i'll be happy if she just stops going in the crate smashicon
