This dog is strange

We got our boxer round about March of this year... She is a brindle boxer and loves attention... She is the most wonderful boxer I have yet to see in our neighborhood... Even though she jumps the fence when you walk out of it and thinks she a cat in your lap or snorts at you when she is in trouble...Yep typical boxer... Did I mention she won't stop wooing long enough for me to catch a breath from laughing.. She is awesome... But here is the praise... My husband is in Iraq who left 3 1/2 months ago was her favorite... here is the catch NOT ANYMORE! Did I mention I was near 5 months pregnant and she won't leave my side... She will not let me go anywhere without standing in front of me... My neighbor had a friend over that knows Daisy and he called her over to him and I was sitting on the patio and seen her hair raise and started yelling at him to stop or she was going to bite his hand for putting it over the fence... I was like good girl... Her and my 3 yr old are deeply connected... Daisy lets Alissa lay all over her and in the mornings I ask Daisy where Alissa is and pounce she on her bed waking her up... My daughter loves her... I love this dog... No one ever told me how much fun she would be and some of the things she does... She lays on the back of the couch like a cat and bites my hair... Thank god for boxers!

I have to agree with you. I am head over heels in love with my baby. She is everything I could have asked for. Even when she is bad you cant help but feel bad because of that look she gives you. I can not say enough about her. I am a 100% boxer lover

Boxers are hands down the best all-around family dogs. They love everybody, especially their kids, they are protective of their family- and they're just a bowlful of constant laughter. Sometimes I catch myself just watching Titan sleep and I think--u look so sweet now, but sometimes you're soooo evil and do such mischevious things--HAHA.

Daisyscrazy--Your husband is in my thoughts and prayers--hope he makes it home soon. My bf has been in Iraq for over a year now (his second time, lucky him) sometimes I dont know how those guys make it with all the crazy stories they have. Bless our boys and bring them all home soon

I love my boxer baby as well. During all my pregnancies I have had a boxer and all of them were very attentive to me during those months. God bless our little boxer angels!

I will say a prayer for you & your family with all you are going through. I am former Air Force myself and remember being sent on short duties...they never seemed short when I was missing my family. Be strong!

Thank you guys for all the support... We have 29 days left and my dh will be home.. Everyone is excited.. .I will lose to the boxer to him.. She IS his baby... This dog adores him... But maybe I can persuade her to stay my baby... But he has the apple of her eye... I ask her does she miss daddy and she does the sad woo woo song... Like I abuse her or something... P.S. Does their boxer look like the lights on but no one is home look?... Daisy looks like she has cobb webs when you tell her no, like what I didn't do that your crazy... Or the Elvis look... Or sleeping with her head hanging off the couch... My favorite is sleepy on top of your feet at night thinking she is 10lbs... But I love this dog... Even though she is running through the house sliding b/c we have tile... But my favorite part is this... On the day of my daughters birthday that early morning I was listening to the song,"Come Home Soon" by SheDaisy and crying because my dh couldn't be there and Daisy came over and licked my tears away and rested her head on my shoulder... I love this dog... She made me realize that she really did love me... Ah... I love this jujubean dog

See we have the opposite problem, Daisy loves people but our neighbors think she is dumb and doesn't listen, they think she makes us look like a fool because she doesn't come when called, but she just turned a year and I am trying to do my best at making her listen... Which is working really good meaning we are doing this during a heat cycle... But if you try to come through my back yard and she doesn't know you... BEWARE! She will demolish you into pieces... I like her cause she is really grumpy towards some people... Like mommy like daughter...

I know exactly what you mean about being daddy's dog.
Kosmo loves us both but he loves DH just a bit more.
DH travels frequently and Kosmo clings to me while he is gone but boy does DH get attention when he gets home. That's only after being gone a few days so I can't imagine the greeting your husband is going to get from Daisy after being gone so long
That is so sweet that Daisy was there for you when you were upset.
It made me teary eyed just thinking about it. I hope the next 29 days goes by really quick for you & your family.

Thank you! She is so loving yet so out there sometimes... She makes me wonder... She acts like a blonde... Which I can say because I am blonde... She and I get along great!LOL!!! She is the greatest dog in the world, she loves my daughter... Yesterday we were playing with Skye our weimy, Skye jumped at my daughter who is 3... Alissa was trying to play with Daisy and not Skye since Skye has OCD about tennis balls.. As soon as Daisy heard Alissa screeched Daisy pounced her and got on top of her and let her know that she needed to slow her roll and thats her kid she is hurting... I was like wo..... Daisy is seriously going to beat her (*&(*& is she does that again! Love me protecting angel
