thinking of getting insurance for Cash

I have heard that getting insurance for my little man is good and i wanted to know if you guys can let me know what you think. Is it a good idea and if so what type and what company?

I just got our puppy Courage onto our existing plan. Because she is a girl, it came out more expensive than her brother.... I think the company is PetHealth... we got a multiple pet discount.

BooBoo is 2-1/2 old male, costs us $165 for half a year...
Courage is 5 months girl, costs us $185 for half a year...

We have insurance for Brando we just got it through our bank as they do good a pet insurance plan, which only costs us £15 a month.

Not sure how pet insurance plans work in the US but I would say it's definitely worth it - just incase anything should happen to the little fella.

We have PetsHealth Care. Nikki is covered only for accidents & illness, not the preventative stuff. We pay $13.92/month.

I think insurance is the way to go if you haven't set up a savings account for your boxer. We want to eventually set up Nikki's own savings & only use it for her vet visits.

honestly, i think cassius is a healthy dog, with nothing to worry about, but then again, i never went to the doctor unless my bone was poppin' out of the skin.
tinker is a bit of a neurotic hypochondriac, so every little sound cassius makes is a life threatening ailment. that's probably the only reason why i would agree to get insurance. because otherwise, our vet bill would be through the roof.

Having worked in a vet office for the past many months I've learned the importance of pet insurance. I already had it on my girl, and just signed up our new boy as well. Let me tell you - insurance is worth it if something huge comes up as vet bills can add up FAST.

Our insurance companies in Canada are probably different than in the States, but be sure to do a lot of comparision - most plans are exceptionally different from each other. Good luck with your research.
