I'm fuming again!

Now, get this. Mr. CEO has several people working for him on H1b visas - from India. Under law, if you sponsor someone's H1 visa, you have to pay them a certain amount per year. Well, there are 3 employees who have not been paid enough, and here it is almost the end of the year. After my co-worker got fired for surfing porn, he threatened to turn my boss in for this illegal practice of under paying these foreign workers. So my boss cut a check to each of the 3 people (totaling around $15,000) and gave it to them so that he would be in compliance with the law. As soon as he paid off porn-surfer and had him sign an agreement that he wouldn't take any sort of action against him, he took all the money back from the 3 people by taking it out of their next check.

Can you believe this? What a dirt bag! I just found out about this tonight, and am so mad about it. I'd love to turn him in, but unfortunately several of my family members work there, and it wouldn't be too tough for him to figure out who told me, which would get one family member in big trouble. Grrrrrrr.

Wait a minute have I worked for this guy in the past???? He sounds very familiar!!! As a matter of fact I contemplated suing my problem boss too!

Too bad you have family that works there, Or else you could have one heck of a field day with him! If he is breaking Visa laws, he is probably digging his own grave! How would he cover this up if uncle Sam asks about his books??? I hope that your other family members are looking for employment elsewhere, cause they are working for a guy who is skating the system, and you can't do it forever!!

Hope something turns up in the "employment elsewhere" category!

Good Luck
