Things your Boxer Eats that he shouldn't

My baby loves paper products. Kleenex, toilet paper, Q-tips, cardboard...and occasionally MY underwear (never the b/f's) Of course this must be followed by a drink from the toilet Oh well, I'm learning to close doors/lids and to put the garbage cans up.

It's fun when we have company, they can't ever find the garbage cans (even though they are VERY obvious) One in usually on a kitchen chair or the table and the other is on the back of the toilet. Gotta love 'em.

For the boxers who ate cigarettes... I bet they did not have worms!

My Brit loves food! She has all of sudden turned into a garbage can. She wants to eat non stop.
She will eat all used Kleenex, pads etc. She loves flies and toads.
And she is totally in love with loaves of bread! No loaf of bread is safe from her constant counter surfing.
Sunday I made chocolate chip cookies. The phone rang and I went to answer it and she came to living room a couple minutes later licking her chops. I said did you eat some cookies. She looked up like she wanted to deny but the crumbs on her cheek gave her away. She only had 4! She later told me who can resist warm chocolate chip cookies. She did not have milk tho'!

I like the saying if boxers werent the way they are we would have to invent them! LOL

Rigo thinks it is an open invitation, if we leave anything out where it isn't supposed to be, to feast on the misplaced items.

Shoes - chews them to little pieces.
Q-tips - but only the dirty ones.
Used wadded up kleenex.
Empty Yougurt cups - the ones the kids conveniently slip under the couch when they are watching t.v.
Half empty,paper, watered down drink cups (making quite a mess)
Dirty underwear the teens leave in the bathroom floor.
Socks - like Ash only SO FAR he hasn't swallowed any.

My biggest problem is making the humans understand that it is their fault for leaving these things out. If there is nothing to sidetrack him, he goes for his toys. I think he is just trying to help me clean up. You know how smart they are!!!!

Jenna, what ever you do, don't let Lily eat any more soap. I have heard that it is very bad for their heart, there is something in it that causes the heart to pump unusually fast.

Tia started eating another couch cushion this morning. there was stuffing everywhere when I caught her. She also likes kleenex's and dryer sheets. She doesn't actually eat them, only shreds them into a big mess.

Over the years Hooligan has gotten into something’s he should not, he has eaten several boxes of breakfast cereal, cream eggs, a loaf of bread, he tried to eat a bag of flour (twice !!) and the worst was when he got into the trash and made himself very sick when he ate a beer bottle top :rolleyes:

Soap is a favorite, as is dirty kleenex and Krispy Kreme donuts (all 6 in one sitting). There are also others, but too gross to mention.

Sam's big fetishes: toilet paper (all-time fav!), paper plates, and anything else that's biodegradable (it seems like that anyways!)

Freckles, my mom's boxer loves tampons!! I'll never forget when I came home from school one day (I was about 15) with some friends, walk into my bedroom and Freckles had thrown up two tampons on my bed!! They were all blown up from being in his stomach and I about died from embarrassment!! :o

Charger, my old boxer, one Christmas was left alone while we went Christmas shopping. He always ran loose cause he was an excellent dog. My great grandpa loved cigars and chocolate covered cherries so my mom always got them for him as Christmas presents. They were wrapped all nice and placed under the tree with all the rest of the presents. When we returned home, Charger had unwrapped the chocolate covered cherries and eaten every last one of them! Mom about died cause she would've never imagined him being able to sniff out the chocolates with plastic and wrapping paper around them and in a box!! My dad just looked at Charger and told us, "Well, it's a good thing he didn't have any matches, he would've lit a cigar after he was finished!"

Charger also loved bumble bees (ouch!), shredding pop cans, and eating Lever 2000 soap!! He was quite a dog!! :p

LMAO about the tampoons.....I would die if Ash ever got ahold on one of those. I can't imagine the embarresment. That was a good one!:D
