I feel like I am watching Xena grow before my very eyes. Within a week she can reach things that seemed nearly impossible just 8 short days ago. When she was at the vet he said that she should double in weight when he sees her again in 4 weeks. Is this possible?

Yes. I have been seeing Apache grow like a weed. Every time we go to the vet which is every 3 weeks he has gained a little over 5 pounds at each visit. I took a picture yesterday of him and Cherokee laying down and I can't believe how big he is. He will definitely outgrow Cherokee even before he's a year old. Cherokee is about 14 months and only weighs 50 pounds. Apache weighed 26.4 at his last visit. I am sure he's already gained since then. I have attached the picture to my gallery of him and Cherokee laying down.

Great pictures. Did they always sleep together like that? I'm hoping my two will someday, but right now Corky will have nothing to do with Xena when it comes to sleeping - she wants her outta there!!!

No doubt:) Buddy seems to grow enough to notice overnight. When we got him he was @ 11 lbs. Last vet visit, about 5 wks. later, he weighed 24 lbs! They hiccup, and grow, hiccup and grow.......:D

Definitely Hiccup & grow

I am going through exactly the same emotions at the moment. My Baby Boy is now 5 months and 1 week, and weighs 24kg's.

He was just a baby yesterday, and could not even see the top of the bed, nevermind jumping over it like it is the easiest obstacle in the world !

They are adorable at all their stages though - even my previous one who was nearly 15yrs when he left .....

Enjoy every minute !

I know what you mean!!!

I can't believe how much Riley has grown in a week. It's been a few days over a week now, but it still amazes me. He's not that tiny little handful that could fit nice and snug in my lap anymore. Now either his head and back paws always hang over. He's gained weight and he's most definitely gotten taller and longer. I really wanted a big dog, but I wish he could stop growing for a week or two!!

I understand about the lap thing. Xena jumps up on my lap and then can't seem to get as comfortable as she used to. Too long now. Corky watches her do this and she came over to me this morning and set in my lap. Never had a 70 lb. dog sit in my lap before. I think Corky is learning some things from Xena as well as vs. a vs. LOL

Boxers grow in spurts. One day you are worrying they are too fat then all of sudden they have l-e-g-s and no body fat  Seems like you have a different dog each week :)

Chopper is somewhere between 70 and 80lbs at only 10 months. I have to kennel him for a night when we move next month so I am going to get his actual weight then. I can't imagine him getting any bigger, although I am sure he still has some filling out to do.
