Roxysmama
Boxer Pal
I posted earlier this week that Roxy,my 4 1/2 month old brindle female, had hook worms. They gave me parasites meds and she still was vomitting 4-5 hours after she ate. I took her back, to a different vet in the same group, they did another stool sample and they found a small black piece of plastic in her stool. So they did Xrays and saw what looked to be an obstruction. So we scheduled surgery for this am. They called me back to tell me that they couldn't find and objects but they did find thickening of the intestines. So they did a biopsy. They also took another stool sample and found more parasites. The problem is that none of the 4 vets in the practice can identify the type. They sent the sample out to Cornell University to be checked. In the mean time we wait!!!! Of course when you wait your mind wanders and think the worst!!! Any one have any suggestions or similar experiences. Could the thickening intestine be contributed to the parasite? Or are we looking at two different problems...
Any ideas would help...
