the name game

I am still waiting on my new puppy now almost 3 wks old (its a long wait). I was wondering about names and how many of you named your boxer after something or someone in boxing. We are big Disney fans and i'm leaning toward something along that line. Maybe naming her Disney

Congrats on your new puppy. Bailey was already names when we got her and when we got Jasmine my fiance came up with the name Jasmine. It fits her.

i am intersted in boxing names to.
i like cinder i could register her as princess cinderella. i also like Mogley (from jungle book the boy brought up by wolves) evan if it sounds like a male name i like the irony(sp)

Since our Boxer girl is named Minnie - I have to vote for that! But, some other (not-necessarily-Disney) suggestions:

Gretel, Greta - From Hansel and Gretel - a good German name
Daisy <----------- A good one! Donald Duck's girlfriend
Mae - no disney relation that I know of, just a cool boxergirl name
Lulu - no disney relation that I know of, just a cool boxergirl name
Tinkerbell, Bell - from Peter Pan

Akeila (pronounced Ah-Key-La) was the father wolf in The Jungle Book. It sounds like it could be masculine or feminine :D Good luck with the name hunt!

I only named my first boxer, as the other two dogs were adopted with already names attached.

I gave my boy a german name, because boxers are german dogs, just a small tribute and thank you to germany for perfecting this breed for me to love.

 

[McDuff]

Love the names. McDuff was named after a character in a children's story. I laughed at the thought of Mogley from the Jungle Book - it's my son's nickname! Great boxer name though.
