The Drag A$$ Run

OK, I was wondering if anyones boxers do something me and my husband call "the drag a$$ run? When they are running outside (or in as my girls sometimes do) and they get that bug up their rear that they have to run really fast. Well they run so fast that their butt looks like it is dragging on the ground, because their front feet are so far behind their back feet. They look like they are going to go head over heals, or actually heals over head:D
I was just wondering if my goofy girls are the only ones that do this?

Yup! Mine does it too. Runs like the Hounds of Hell are chasing him.

Our female, Ali, certainly does the "boxer burn", but our male, Eric, doesn't seem to understand the kind of enjoyment a full on "boxer burn" can bring.

Yup Ozzy does it and so did Rocky too.
I've never seen as much joy in a dogs face as they have when they are running like this! Always makes us laugh

Yep, Maddie does this too but we call it the tucky butt run.:D

Seger Too

Our youngest Seger does it all the time. He goes around corners so fast if he's on the blacktop he skids and keeps on going. It's a great way to keep the nails trimmed.

Seger is always slamming into Maggie and Taz because he looses control. He loves doing it for a few minutes, then it's back in the house & the couch for a nap.

What's funny is when the butt does hit the ground and slides out from under them... Wipe Out!! That can sometimes happen on a sharp turn.

Yup we get boxer burns everynight here :D After Rocky's nightly poo he goes burning around the yard for a few. Then he comes inside and goes burning around the house, including up and down the steps, for a few. Then he is ready for bed :p
