Boxer Booster
I was looking at a possible new doggie day care/boarding place yesterday. While talking with the owner, she informed me that most boxers don't pass her rigorous entrance interview (a day of play) for a variety of reasons, including bad doggy etiquette. She said boxers will stare at other dogs in the eyes, even though they mean it playfully, and the other dogs get offended and that's how dog fights start. I had never heard this before and she said it's in all the boxer books (but not any that I've read). So, I went home and told Shane and he said our boys don't stare at dogs in the dog park, but they do stare at each other right before they start the wild playing and running around that they love so much. Has anyone ever heard of this before? And, no, we won't be trying the boys out there...she also has a no-bark policy and no rough play policy. Ajax and Apollo would never survive!
, my boy is so vocal he wouldn't survive there either! That lady is crazy, sounds like they'd be in detention or something
The only negative input I get about Mason are the few that mistake him to be a pit bull. Once I explain to them that he isn't, and not all pit bulls are bad, they usually come around.
