A VW Bug!...that's funny. I was trying to describe it to my husband the other day because he has never seen either one do it. We have had Gretchen for 7 months and she finally did it the other day. It makes me laugh so hard.

Shotze looks like she is lowering her center of gravity. She spreads out her front legs and runs around like a goofball for no apparent reason. It is HILARIOUS! I love when she burns!!!

Coz does that when he's real excited going after a toy. Gotta make sure it doesn't slip past him! The other good one is the three jump pounce. When he is heading towards a toy he'll jump, then jump again, then rear up on his hind legs and pounce on the toy. Its great!

OMG, last night Farley had his best burn yet! BF and I were in the BR on the computer (YES, we were on the computer! :)) and I guess Farley was mad that no one was paying attention to him. So, he started running full tilt, jumping off the couch, running around the coffee table and launching himself into our big cushy chair. He was hitting the chair so hard it started to rock backwards. He made many rounds like this before burning out and collapsing in the floor, tongue hanging out. In a room that's maybe 300 sf, he makes do with what he has!!

A boxer burn is like watching a fine ballet. The fluid movements, the beautiful display of athleticism. Then it ends with a sound like a record scratching when they crash into something and look around as if to say "I meant to do that!"

Help I need Some Advice

I am a 23 yr old guy and I had a boxer for about 6 years and unfortunately I had Lost him on Friday my parents put it to sleep on Friday without telling me because her cancer got very bad that day and she couldnt breath, I mean I knew she was gona die because i Knew she had cancer and she couldnt walk on one foot. But I am so upset that I couldnt even say goodbye. She was like the only person there for me at home, but now that shes not there my house is so depressing and I feel so alone and depressed. I want to get another boxer but unfortunately I live with my oarents and they do not want to get another dog saying that they dont to go trough the same heartache again. But also i am kinda worried about getting another one because i wouldnt want tit to get sick like that again, is this a common thing with boxers or did we get unlcuky. Please give me some advice on what to do.

I know this is in the wrong topic but you were not accepting email so I couldn't send it to you. I lost my boxer Sammy almost a year ago next month to cancer as well. I was just finishing up school and was away from home. My mom called me up and I was able to go see her in case something happend the vet gave her two months left at the time. I figured I could still make another trip home to see her. Two days after I came back to school My mom let me know that they had to put her to sleep because her health had decreased so much. I felt horrible that I couldnt make it home to be with her the day she was put to sleep, but my mom and grandma were there with her. I am moving back home in two months and going back home without her is going to be hard. Even when I go to visit on weekends Its almost as if I can hear her run around the corner when I open the door. Luckily my mom wants to have another boxer in the family again, and we are thinking of going through rescue this time. Even though its going to be tough. My advice to you is to remember the all of the good times and all of the joy and love your boxer brought to you.
