I have a couple,
when Aspen was a pup DH must not have closed her crate properly cause when I came home there was garbage strewn over three levels of the house, sheets had been ripped off of three beds and dragged all over, a newspaper had been shredded and was all over the place

We took Aspen & Mason with us to the grocery for a ride. We had a small stop to make and didn't think before we left them in the car. We had bought some raspberries...needless to say, Aspen was pink and so was the back of the expedition

When Mason got nuetered he puked all over me and the car on the ride home..yuck

The most disgusting and messiest thing ever! When we first got Stormie (at 7 mths), I didn't feel good about putting her in a crate (didn't know much), and was unsure if she could be left alone in the house. So, I (in all my brightness) decided it would be a good idea to leave her in the hall bathroom with the door closed. A bowl of food and water was put in there and we went to a homeschool event for my son.

I don't think I remembered to take her out potty first....

We came home to a sickening scene. She had pooped and in her frantic need to get out of the room that she pooped in, she knocked over her food and water, clawed the sink, door, toilet, bath... there was food, water and poop EVERYWHERE! I basically wanted to lose chunks, and had to have a huge fan blowing and the window open while I bleached the whole room.

Come to find out, Stormie is perfectly fine left to free roam! Hard lesson to learn.

Scrappys eventful week

We adopted Scrappy from the Humane Society over a year ago. It turns out that the previous owner could not cope with his seperation anxiety. He was fine the first day as we were home all day. The second day we tried crate trainig him and he seemed OK if we were in the room with him. We tried leaving him in his crate for a short period of time and when I came back, the metal crate was demolished, bars bent and Scrappy waiting by the front door. He had tried to get out of the window and in so doing tore up three sets of blinds as well as the trim along the front door. We made an appt with our vet to discuss behavior techniques. In the meantime, we rolled up the existing blinds and used a non-toxic rosemary product to make the wood trim less palatable. He was free of undesirable behaviors for a day. Until his dear friend Daryl left. Daryl closed the upstairs window but forgot to lock it. I left for a few minutes to go to the grocery store and when I got back, Scrappy was on the roof of the house after climbing out of the window(trying to follow me) up the eves and onto the roof! Neither the fire dept of animal control would help us, but finally a neighbor helped bring him in through a window. Ever since that day a year ago, he has been an angel, and he knows we are coming back!

One of her funniest messes (though not the worst) was when she got ahold of a crayola magic marker (non-toxic). I may not have noticed, but she had blue ink all over her paws and face. She looked like she had been munching on smurfs!

ROFLMAO...OMG....that's hysterical. I've got a great visual on that.

Compared to our last boxer, Kahn, our experiences with the girls have been relatively mild. He ate through 2 walls of the house, destroyed 2 bathrooms completely and actually bent the bars on his crate to get out. He suffered severe separation anxiety. He was a backyard breeder puppy which we knew nothing about then. When we got the girls we knew better and found a reputable breeder. Chelsea is notorious for stealing stuff off the counter. She ran off with 2 lobster tails one night (no dinner for us and we had company..lol..she ate shells and all), she's eaten a turkey among various other things. They pulled all my flowers out of the flower bed and then tried to act like they didn't do it. Chelsea had flowers hanging out of her mouth and Angel was black with dirt. But they didn't do it..at least that's what they told me. They blamed the cat. They always steal my dish rags off the sink and at least once a week daddy has to remove the remnants from someone's hind end..lol. Angel always chews up her bedding. Oh yeah, and Chelsea set off the burglar alarm once in the house whilst we were out. Came home to the Sheriff sitting outside my home and after going in to see why the alarm was going off, had to explain that the dog did it. He got a kick out of it. I was mortified. She got out of her crate (the boy didnt' shut it all the way) and jumped on the sliding glass door and actually unlocked it and then opened it just enough to set the alarm off.

Toby is our little demon, destroying everything he touches. His best I think would be the Christmas tree, garland, and the lights all from within his crate. He scooted the crate till it knocked down the tree then pulled the garland and lights inside the crate to chew them. My oldest Taz really didn't destroy much other than the usual trash scattered about. There is one incident I will never forget. It was after Easter and my wife decided to visit her parents and leave the dogs at home. Before she left she was eating a Cadbury egg and gave in to his begging. Well at about 5:30 A.M. I awoke to a terrible smell. At first I thought it was gas so I grumbled at him and tried to get some sleep. But the smell got worse by the minute and then I rolled over. The scene was like something out of a horror movie. Taz had diarrhea and tried to "duck walk" his way to the front door. He covered at least 20ft of carpeting, the comforter, and a couple walls. I ended up calling in sick to work that morning and scrubbed for hours. I used her new digital camera to document the whole thing for her. Her reaction to the pictures was almost enough payback....almost.

Hmmm, let's see.
Punchie has completely demolished a couple of down pillows, and removed the stuffing from an old quilt. Her worst was probably DH's favorite chair. She totally destroyed the cushioning.

Well, this wasn't the biggest mess but it was the funniest. One day we came home to find a huge pile of shoes and boots on the couch. .

Ok, I almost wet myself envisioning you coming home to a pile of shoes on the couch, wondering what the heck....

The only really bad one was my rescue Spencer (Goodness I miss that dog!) After a fight with the husband about him not being ready to be left out of the crate (I lost) he descimated our couch. There was so much foam, you couldn't even see an inch of carpeting. As per our agreement, he cleaned it up and never mentioned it again.

My neighbor brought over a bee hive (why?) and Spencer ate it. Poison control told me to give him pumpkin. He proceded to puke bees, hive and pumpkin all over my cream carpet.

And then there were the dozen Krispe Kremes..... baaaad boy! :D

Lets see.... Brutus has eaten 2 beds we got for his kennel, shredded to bits with the stuffing all over the place. Towels and blankets, thank goodness they were his. he has also eaten and shredded my DH's favorite bed pillow, that was of course after he escaped from his new collapsable canvas travel cage.... ate the whole side off....that was interesting.... now he travels in a collapsable metal cage. :) He also ate the pillow case....600 thread count wedding gift.... :(

not sure who starts it

Moser use to shredd his dog beds that we put in his crate, ecsecially if they had a zipper on them.

Maggie s a shoe queen-loves to take the laces out and then destroy the shoes.

the biggest thing started a few months back they figured out how to get the couch cushions off and then open the zipper up and take out the stuffing.

a wicker chair

a heating pad

oh and a baby doll.
