"that look"

I was surfing BoxerWorld as always and my 6 yr old daughter comes up and says, "Mom, I was on the couch and Cisco wanted up and I told him, No, and he gave me ~that look~ with his eyes and now I feel soooo bad!"
My poor daughter! Boy do our boxer babies know how to pull our heart strings! We have a couch and a loveseat. Cisco is not allowed on the couch b/c hubby likes to lay on it and says Cisco makes it "smell like dog" whatever that means!
So the good daughter that I have just moved to the loveseat so spoiled rotten Cisco could lay with her. I love my babies! Fur and skin! lovicon

Ohhhh that look!! Sometimes it's as if to say "paaaallleeeezze" and other times I swear they are cursing us under their breath...I actually cringe to think of what they would say if they could! :p

You will notice I have discussed Coco and "the Look" in earlier posts I made. I know that look and just like Sharon said....it's either guilt trip head on or it's something even worse they're thinking . Either way....Gotta luv it!!!

We recently got a new couch and recliner chair. We have always had hand-me-down furniture so Vegas was always allowed on it. He also had a chair that he loved but it was my mom's and was only a loner so it went back and we don't have room for both.

Well, he is definatly not impressed with the recliner that replaced his chair because it swivels and he has this fear of unknown movement (do any of your babies have this fear? i can't figure it out). He is not allowed on the couch unless the sheet is covering it, So he doesn't mind so much when we leave cause he knows the sheet will be up.

When we got the new furniture we got him a big pillow that matches. Every morning he puts his two front paws up on the couch and looks over at us with "the look" then when we say no , the look gets more intense and i feel like getting the old ratty couch back. Then he sulks over to his pillow, lays down and lets out the big sigh. I sure he's thinking "mean mommy".

I KNOW<I KNOW.....What everyone will say, but as much as I have worked with my 'furbabies' that is an issue that I JUST CAN'T CONTROL :rolleyes:
The furniture thing....I love cuddling with my pups in the evening so much that sometimes it is a fight for the best spot on our couches and I know that I have created monsters if you even get up to just use the potty, immediatly your spot is TAKEN OVER and they quickly try to look completely asleep (even though you know they are faking)
And just try to scoot over a sleeping BOXER......they make themselves twice as heavy!:cool:
However, cuddling with my pups is as close to heaven as it gets!
I will just have to replace the furniture more often.....
