switched to Canidae

Holy cow, this puppy can eat! and poop!!
Our puppy Georgie came to us at 8 weeks on a PuppyChow diet and the vet gave us a puppy package with Science Diet... but we are just about completely changed over to Canidae. She LOVES to eat and the kibbles work as her reward treats too.
Our 9 year old dog is also switching over to Canidae and has done well.
Thanks for all the great info found on this site to find a good and nutritious food for our new baby

The behavior questions will be asked in a different thread- we had forgotten what puppyhood was like- and this is our 1st boxer- need I say more??

Biff loves it, and Buttons is still on half Canidae / half breeder's food (Purina Beta) as we gradually change her over.

Time Line

We get our pup Thursday, and i want to switch her off of the breeders "PuppyChow" diet to Canidae. How long and how soon did you start to switch age wise and how long after you got it? Thanks!

Both my babies are on Canidae. They are doing great. I switched last year. It's great cause our babies can eat it too.

I tried to switch Hurricane over slowly. That didn't work, he just ate the Canidae around the Purina that the breeder had him on and left it there! So much for the gradual change... of course it didn't seem to bother him at all, so I guess he knew what he was doing!

Congrats on the new pup.... you are going to have SO much fun in the next few months I miss the early days already, and Hurricane is only 6 months old.
