Boxer Pal
Hi There,
Our 10-1/2 year old white boxer puppy has had diarrhea for over a month now. It has continously gotten worse. (I should mention previously for the past year now, she has had a peeing problem in which she will pee a little while sleeping/sitting/laying down and has no idea it is happening). We have taken her to the vet on numerous occations in the past, as well as tried switchind dogs foods, from Nutro Lamb and Rice, to Ultra Nutro Chicken and Rice (this caused extremely bad gas), we then switched her back to regular Nutro Lamb and Rice, and lastly she is now on Medi Cal, Gastro Formula recommended by our vet. Last week Susie went to the vet for blood tests, which showed neg. for cancer however it showed lack of protein in her blood. The vet assumes, that Susie has inflammation in her intestines. He recommended a biopsy, however we have agreed not to try this approach due to her age. Currently, our vet is looking into other options, as well as retested the blood to test for digestion in the intestine. We have been giving her immodium for the past few days, this has helped some. Has anyone elses dog been through this before, or does anyone have any suggestions or opinions as to how I can help Susie??? Thank you!!
