Stressful day for Clare and I at the vet

It was a normal well check up for 9 year old Clare at our vet today.....until I mentioned her panting more than usual on our walks, even with the weather not being warm.
He listened to her heart and said she has some irregularity. He let me listen as well, and sure enough, every once in awhile, i'd catch a skip.
We came home with a Holter monitor and I will bring her back tomorrow for them to take it off. I should get results in a week he said.
She is now in her comfy bed, not liking this thing on her at all. Its punishment she says
But for her own good I tell her.

Oh no! I hope it is nothing too serious and can be controlled by medicine if need be. I unfortunately know what you are feeling. I took Thor in for one thing and was at the cardiologist two days later. It is scary. You have to remember to breathe and try to relax. If you are relaxed, your pup will be relaxed. I am sending positive (((vibes))) and saying a prayer. Please keep us updated.

Results are back and a chat with her Vet yesterday.
Her total Ventricular Ectopy was 770 with 5 of them pairs, no runs
Also showed 10 single Supraventricular Ectopy.

Vet recommends doing another test in a year. Meds do improve the heartbeat, but no research is showing if that really slows/prevents death, so he said no meds yet.
She is 9.5 yrs old, my sweet old gal.
