Strange things that make us Happy!

Okay - twice today I was out with Daisy, KNOWING she needed to poop, but she kept wanting to run around and roll in the grass...

So for the first time today... AND the second!... Daisy pooped on command.

I'm so very proud of my little girl - and it's probably really bizarre that pooping on command makes me proud, but I don't care!!!

And it's not strange at all!!! My neighbors get a hoot out of me when one moment I'm talking baby talk and praising Zoe for peeing, but the next I'm telling her to drop the mouthful of grass clippings :/

I had a similar "my dog has made me a strange person" moment the other day. Poop pickup bags were half price at Petsmart! I was seriously excited, and bought several months' worth!

Hahaha! It's pretty easy, actually - she doesn't respond to a verbal command, she responds to the ASL sign for "poop"... I make it every time she goes, several times in a row. Sometimes I'll walk her back over to it and make the sign, then treat her - LOL!

Now, I just need to learn ASL for, "Let go of my pant leg with your tiny shark teeth, Demon-dog!!!"

Never thought about it being a command. I just open the door (we live on a farm) and say "Go potty" and they hit the field for a pee and a poop and then run back! LOL

I love that she knows sign language! Such a smart girl you have!

What a clever girl you have,well done Daisy, Roge will wee on command but I only use the commmand first thing in the morning bescaue I need to get ready for work and last thing at night because I want to go to bed , this started last christmas when the weather was really bad and down to -12 and I didnt want to stand outside for long I would open the door and say go Roge have a wee and point to the lawn had hay presto off he would go . My BH has trained him to go uot to the field to poop however if there is anything exciting happening he decides its not worth missing the fun and poops on the lawn which is nice for BH as he does the pooper scouping. not a nice job but hay someones got to do it.ha ha.
